1. I'm not sure what you mean, but I don't think there is?

2. You can post any youtube video as far as I know. Wouldn't know why not.

3. Depends on what you call "active", but I guess it is. There is always less news during down time, so it's not gonna be the same as when they just put out a record.

4. I think you can select a size when you become a member. Yes, it can be sent to China. I don't think it'll cost extra fee. It looks like this. That said, you only get the t-shirt when you renew your membership, not when you become a member for the first time.

5. There is no Green Day store, only online.

Welcome to the Idiot Club Authority Community.

The idiot club is sorta pants... depends what you want out of it. If you just want to talk about GD then GDC is far better... and cheaper.

2 - any videos and photos on the idiot club are meant for members only. unfortunately some members have in the past posted them elsewhere.

If I become a member today, would I have access to old videos?

you would have immediate access to everything on the site. which is not much to be honest. which I hate saying but there ya go. there are the official videos on there, a few live videos but no doubt they are available to see elsewhere. to be honest, dont join for things like that. join for pre-sales (which is what the majority do, and then complain when they dont get the tickets they want) or join just because you want to be an idiot.

Honestly, the Idiot Club is not worth the $20 unless, as Netty said, you want to join to get pre-sale tickets for any live tours.

I've been a member twice before and didn't use my membership apart from for getting tickets last tour, and when it first opened and there was actually good exclusive content.

It's clearly useful when it comes to early entry and soundchecks though.

I go on the forums to kinda talk to people...but there are more people here than on the IC. Although I like being an idiot, most people seem to only have joined for pre-sales in the past, as no-one really sticks around :/

Don't do it! If the Idiot Club ever does anything cool that's worth joining for they'll announce it on greenday.com and people will post about it on GDC and GDA well in advance, and you can decide whether you wanna join for it then.

There's no point in joining at the moment when you'll get nothing for your money. There's no exclusive videos or audio and the giveaways are always (as far as I know) for the US only. If you join now all you'll get is a forum. And this forum is better :D

which is a bloody crying shame considering how many members the idiot club has.

The Idiot Club forum is good though I must say, there's less posting going on than here but it's a decent forum with cool people. GDC is just hard to beat, especially as it's free lol.

Idiot Club forum is good for randomly talking to other idiots about anything...this is better for Green Day related news, people here seem to find stuff out quicker :L

or join just because you want to be an idiot.

Gotta love this lingerie deficient lady.

Which is probably the biggest problem of the IC. There really is a lack of active people =/

They should post Audio recordings of the last tour.

As absolute Radio did it for the manchster Show.

You can get soundcheck passes from the IC? :o Hell, I'd be willing to spend the $20 whenever the next tour starts just for that.

You could on the 21st Century Breakdown arena tour. 20 people +1 guest got to see the soundcheck and 1 person was allowed to take photographs in the pit for one or two songs. This competition wasn't available for all of the shows, unfortunately, only some of them. Maybe there were problems co-ordinating things with the individual venues/promoters? But it was amazing for those people who won it :) (I don't think they did it on the US tour of July/August 09 but there was a separate Verizon competition for soundcheck/early entry)

Then on the stadium tour last summer they had early entry competitions for the shows in Europe. We won for Marlay Park, I felt so grateful for the IC that day <3

Early entry was just wonderful

I really hope they're doing something like that again for the next tour.

I won tickets to a show so for stuff like that, I would definitely recommend it. But sadly, I haven't renewed my membership because well, I have no money right now. Boo! I have a really stupid question, especially since I was a member for a year... but what were the competitions to win early entry? I don't recall seeing them.. or for the Darien Lake show anyway.

The early entry contest on the IC was only for the European summer shows, not for the US.

I have a question ..

The idiot club only charges $20 or over time have rates ?

^ Well, it charges $20 a year. You pay $20 and you get a membership for a year, then after a year you can renew it for $20 again.

And only for some European shows, at that.
