InvaderPhantom Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 This is a thread for funny or interesting things you find in Green Day songs, for example: If you listen to Longview and it goes "Call me pathetic, call me what you will" you can hear someone shout "What you will!" in the background, if you listen very closely. You can hear it on the demo versions, too. When I first realized this, my mind was blown. I listened to this song so many times, but just now got it. Anyway, did anyone find any other hidden things in Green Day songs?
Kid A Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 you can find shitons of green day subliminal messages on youtube like this one.
fadi_7 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 you can heart Billie's coat in the end of Prosthetic Head and i don't remember what song exactly but i feel it's in nimrod's or dookie's era,you can hear at the end of the song tre's drumsticks getting hit lol
Kid A Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 This video is just dumb in my opinion Yeah, It's pretty dumb. I just posted the video for reference.
StuckWithRob Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I love the bit in the middle of Android when the toilet flushes and you hear something like 'somebody else can do it hahaha'
pasalaska Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 There's the counting down at the end of Private Ale, but that's not really 'hidden' and I played Dominated Love Slave backwards once and could hear the words 'chicken and salad tacos' true story* *this is not in fact a true story
Clayish Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 In Going to Pasalacqua, right before the "here we go again", you can hear billie joe say it right before very quietly. Turn up your speakers and you will hear it.

Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 In Going to Pasalacqua, right before the "here we go again", you can hear billie joe say it right before very quietly. Turn up your speakers and you will hear it. I have tried to hear that one so often. Never managed to hear it. I know it's there because others have heard it so there must be *something*, but I can't hear it. Last year or so there was a thread exactly like this one, it had quite impressive lists. That's where I tried to hear the "here we go again", haha. Well, some of the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I don't think these have been mentioned, sorry if they have (shitty memory): - In the intro do My Generation you hear "I think I can do [the] Whoooo" and while he says whooo there's also the whistle which you can clearly hear). Turn up your volume. - There's laughter in some song on Shenanigans, but I can't think which. - At the end of Dry Ice you can hear them shout "YES! YES!" and I think Tre hits his drums as well. Turn up your volume. - In Brain Stew, at some point during the beginning, forgot between which lines, you can hear Billie kind of grunt/go "ohhh", it's quite soft. - I don't really know if it's considered hidden, but in The Static Age when Billie sings "what's the lastest way that a man can die / screaming hallelujah", there's "oooooh" vocals in the background, and after he says hallelujah, the background vocals go "hallelujah" - In the intro of Knowledge there's this weird noise thingy and if you play it backwards it says something like "I'm a very stupid person". Not everyone agrees it says that, but I can clearly hear it. (there's videos on youtube that illustrate it).
SheGoingToPasalacqua Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I love the bit in the middle of Android when the toilet flushes and you hear something like 'somebody else can do it hahaha' Haha , ya thats's different and funny, to me
Opezi Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 he coughs a lot during the nimrod album. Like Prosthetic Head and others but I can't remember.
SheGoingToPasalacqua Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Haven't heard it. I haven't heard it either......
Zelda Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 At the beginning of Good Riddance, you can hear Billie say 'fuck' if you turn the volume all the way up.
StuckWithRob Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 At the start of 'Good Riddance' he plays the first bit then stops, then plays it again. In the pause you then hear Billie say 'fuck' before playing the whole song correctly. That always makes me smile (at 0:04 if you're bothered) At the beginning of Good Riddance, you can hear Billie say 'fuck' if you turn the volume all the way up. Ah beat me to it!
SheGoingToPasalacqua Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 You can hear Billie cough in the beginning of prostetic head At the beginning of Good Riddance, you can hear Billie say 'fuck' if you turn the volume all the way up. Yes that's right It's not to hard to hear tough ....
Lauralovesgreenday Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 you can also hear some kind of metronome beeping in time at the start of good riddance and the backmasking thing in knowledge is good, i heard it backwards and it sounds pretty convincing. i love it when they do stuff like that!
InvaderPhantom Posted June 20, 2011 Author Posted June 20, 2011 In the very beginning of The Ballad of Wilhelm Fink you hear someone say "...four" - it's not that well hidden^^ Also, in Bullet in a Bible's "King for a Day/Shout" I hear a girl scream "Billie, ich liebe dich!" ("Billie, I love you!" in German) at 5:18. I'm pretty sure that she screams that, even though it's weird why a German girl would be at a concert in England. But I'm sooo sure she says that and I hear it every time I listen to it
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 My generation HEINEKEN FUCK THAT SHIT That's not exactly hidden That's like saying "Billie says "ahh" in Boulevard of Broken Dreams!"
