My favourite thing ever is the transition between Holiday and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, when the opening guitar of BOBD starts as the long last note of Holiday fades out. I just love the way it sounds, it sounds really cool. Especially the moment when the note from Holiday finishes and the BOBD guitar suddenly sounds crystal clear on it's own just for a second before the other guitar kicks in. I remember when I first got the album I used to keep rewinding that bit to hear it again :D

My favorite song transition is on AAF. I like how the song iViva La Gloria transitions right in to Cigarettes and Valentines. Perfect transition if you ask me. :)

I love it when they play live and go to drop d tuning and start playing iron man! so gritty and rock and roll-y

I really, really love Give Me Novacaine-She's a Rebel... It literally shakes me, it's so eletrifying :woot:

I like it on shuffle on Awesome as F**k when Billie says 'we're going to play a brand new song' then he says 'this songs from 1994 this song's called Burnout'. You can't fool me Billie!

i love the brain stew/jaded one! :woot:

however, holiday/bobd is awesome too :3

I agree with the Holiday/BoBD one, but I also love the transition between Last of the American Girls and Murder City. So cool!

Jinx/Haushinka :woot:

Oh god so long haha

Love love love We Are The Waiting/St. Jimmy. Love the way the end of We Are The Waiting has kind of a lulling element to it, but also just this great feeling of anticipation and then... BAM "St Jimmy's coming down -" Fucking awesome, always makes me smile.

Yeah and Brainstew/Jaded. It's just a classic.

And Holiday/BOBD. Oh, and of course Jinx/Haushinka.

(can I just choose them all, please? :P )

Ok, actually no, I got it! Chump/Longview! Now that's the classic.

Right this is hard!! Uhmm.. It might have to be Jinx/Haushinka :P but I do like Chump/Longview :L

F.O.D. to All By Myself

Thisss. Although I'm probably a bit biased on that one - Holiday and BOBD are two of my all time favorite songs.

Brain Stew/Jaded is pretty awesome too though. The transition from the slow, simple riff of Brain Stew into the fast, in your face, unintelligible badassness that is Jaded...classic Green Day right there.

1100! 1900 to go...

The best is Chump/Longview. Listening to Dookie you get the first two tracks which are fast paced and ones to get you going, then this strange build up that suddenly develops into THAT bass line... oh the first time I heard that it was just amazing! No other transition can compare to that.

Holiday/BOBD is good, but I actually prefer the tracks separately (or is that not allowed :) )

I love The Static Age into 21 Guns...when it goes very quiet and you waiting with bated breath for those 4 notes to kick in

And naturally BOBD and Holiday

Chump to Longview

Its incredible.

Mmm, Give Me Novacaine / She's A Rebel.

Also, in AAF, it always sounds like the roaring crowd fades together into each song. Is that just me?

During a live show, I've always loved the way they transition into Jaded. It's so exciting, with the shirts flying and the drums rolling and the crowd jumping and chanting and you can feel all the energy from everyone around you buzzing for the speed of Jaded after such a (in my opinion) boring ( :ninja: ) song. It's the best.

And newly, also live from the last tour, the way Billie cut off WMUWSE short and left the final line for the VERY end of the show. That was a brilliant move. It makes it feel like the end of the night's story...until next time.

And Are We The Waiting/ St. Jimmy from Rock Band. Just how peaceful AWTW is and then boom St. Jimmy ya know?

I like the 3 of American Idiot, and my favorite is Holiday / Blvd. of Broken Dreams.
