Kristen M Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Title explains it all! Quite a few Green Day songs have brought me to tears... 21st Century Breakdown Time of your life 21 guns Jesus of Suburbia Coming Clean
kristinsinferno Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 I can listen to When September Ends with just a few sniffles by the end, but if I watch the video, I'm fucking bawling. Also Viva La Gloria and Before the Lobotomy made me cry the first time i heard them.
Marlee Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 (i swear there was a thread for this) but watching When September Ends on BIAB makes me cry every time
ANJI Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Last Night on Earth and Time of Your Life...i cried when i heard both songs live
Annie, get your gun Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Songs that have made me, or make me cry all the time? -Whatsername & Macy's Day Parade. And Good Riddance live at the end of every concert.
Johnny Higher Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Viva La Gloria ! Wake Me Up When September Ends Jesus Of Suburbia

LauraG Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Wake me up when september ends (from start to finish!) and the last part of 21 guns ("when it's time to live and let die, and you can't get another try"). They bring me to tears because of personal losses basically. And if I'm particularly sensitive that day, also Good riddance.

BrickOfSelfControl1995 Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Macy's Day Parade, Whatsername... those might be the only two.
drumstick Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 yesterday my friend played wake me up when september ends on piano and it made cry..it sounded so beautiful
deletethisaccount Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Going to Pasalacqua, Paper Lanterns, Dry Ice, 80, Android, Chump, Scattered. } The reason why I cried to these is because I feel like I can totally relate to them and it felt so good to know that that someone else felt the same way and wrote about it. The Bullet In a Bible performance of Wake Me Up When September Ends } I cried to this because Billie crying during the end of the song put a lot of emotion in the song and it truly felt the way a sad song should feel. When most artists write sad songs, their voices sound happy, but in this performance, you can see and hear his pain.
Little_Girl Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Wake me up when september ends & good riddance I cried a little bit when i hear them live
platty Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Letterbomb. how i analyzed it, its pretty much saying "my world is crumbling and you don't even care" I've been there Good Riddance (sometimes). it played for a few funerals i went to. 21 Guns (live). it's so beautifully written and composed. it made me wanna hug Billie.
Reeeeese Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Are We The Waiting makes me bawl. Wake Me Up When September Ends's video makes me cry as well.
Meeshy Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Hearing Billie sing Last Night on Earth at the final American Idiot show got me choked up...so did Whatsername that night too.
ScatteredPictures Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Jesus Of Suburbia , Letterbomb probably Boulevard Of Broken Dreams... idk Good Riddance has never really been a truly sad song to me. It sounds so optimistic in my opinion ^^ Give Me Novacaine Wake Me Up When September Ends , Minority. I cried to a lot of songs actually Stuck With Me... Dry Ice. Last Night On Earth made me cry the first time I saw the video (and it was also the first time I heard the song). Restless Heart Syndrome. Viva La Gloria (Little Girl). See The Light. Oh and we had a thread like this. But it wasnt about the songs that make you cry. It was about which Green Day songs make you sad
pasalaska Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Going To Pasalacqua, the first time I saw it live. I was a human fountain
KatherineKerplunk Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 WMUWSE, Last Night on Earth, Whatsername and Good Riddance
gdpony Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Wake me up brings back so many feelings, so I choke up every time I listen to it. Good Riddance has meant a lot to me since I was 11 ... And listening to it live in costa rica was one of the most emotional things ever! And give me novacaine and waiting simply because they're among my favorite songs and it was also great to listen to them live
