radiofriendlyunitshifter Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I was looking at fadi_7's thread, ( http://www.greendaycommunity.org/Forum/index.php?showtopic=81540 ) , and I thought of this. So what's your least favorite green day single? I would say Holiday or Last of the American Girls.

Jacob. Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Last of the American Girls was a bad single choice, but good song.
deadair Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Last of the American Girls was a bad single choice, but good song. Yeah, why the hell did they release LOTAG as a single anyways? They never played it live in concert, after the single was released. The only times it was performed live in concert were at those club shows that were a warm up for the arena tour that started in July 2009. Anyways, a really sucky job at promoting with that single.
-Billiejoezee- Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I don't think we're supose to have threads like this... I'm not sure. AND I think there's already a thread for least favorite single. Edit: Or maybe we can have this thread...

Maybe Warner Bros. aren't trying to promote the band as much as before. I think they should just switch to Adeline Records and dump Warner.
lastnightonGDA Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Yeah, know your enemy and last of the american girls. I think EJN should've been a single.
Alan86 Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Probally Last of the American Girls. It made no sense at all. It's not like they played the song at their shows or anything. I know they did play it at a few times when they were initially promoting the album but it was never on the setlist for the world tour.
Clockwise Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Yeah, alot of the choices for singles from 21CB were interesting...
Velocity Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Yeah, I'm gonna go with everyone else and say Last of the American Girls or Know Your Enemy. Don't get me wrong, they're good songs, but they didn't really make good singles. I still think The Static Age and Horseshoes and Handgrenades should've been released instead. They're much more badass, and I think they could've gained more fans with those songs.
XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I've never understood the point of these "least favorite" threads.
Satan Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 well, i like KYE as a single because it's poppy and repetitive... people like to hear that stuff. LOTAG was a bad single choice, but because that song is so awesome, i'm not going to comment on it. as a song, my least favorite single is probably "stuck with me" i have just never gotten into that song at all.
radiofriendlyunitshifter Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 I've never understood the point of these "least favorite" threads. Me either.
Marlee Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Last of the American Girls...I have nothing against the song, I just didn't think it was a good choice for a single
Four. Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Know Your Enemy. It's just... I don't like it, haha. Last Ride In was a single too, right? I don't like it. It's not a bad instrumental, but not a logical single choice. If it's not a single, well... I still don't really like it.
Jacob. Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I think EJN should've been a single. East Jesus Nowhere was a single.
Clayish Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Know Your Enemy... just horrible. Jesus of Suburbia... Why ruin a 9 minute epic and change it into a 6:30 song. Just doesn't make sense to choose JOS as a single, even though its incredible.

-Billiejoezee- Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 so much KYE hate. I was glad it was their first single off of 21st CB.
champagne mami Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Probably Last Of The American Girls or Know Your Enemy. They both got old really really fast, well to me anyway.
Burnout98 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Maybe Warner Bros. aren't trying to promote the band as much as before. I think they should just switch to Adeline Records and dump Warner. This x1000 And LOTAG should not have been a single.
November's Storms Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I suppose my least fav would be LOTAG, but its not that bad. I'm just puzzled as to why they chose it when there are so many better ones.
TheSaltOfTheEarth Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 LOTAG - don't hate it, it just was NOT the best song to choose, by far. There are so many better songs on 21CB you know? KYE was good as far as singles go, but same goes for it too. Other than those two, I think Green Day's done a fairly good job of picking singles.
