Marie_GD Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Add your content to awesomeasfuck.net and you could win a weekend trip to New York City, including tickets to see Green Day’s American Idiot on Broadway. Just add your photo, video and stories, select the gig you attended and be part of the biggest scrapbook of Green Day gigs ever! Add yourself to Green Day's Awesome as F**k tour history. Find the city where you saw Green Day perform, choose the date of the concert and add your stories, photos and videos to the Awesome Gallery. If you or one of your friends were lucky enough to join Green Day on stage, then be sure to tell the world about that too. http://www.awesomeasfuck.net/ They only added cities and venues of Green Day's performances in Brazil from 1998.....
Mike Armstrong Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Mainz is missing on the map ! ... but I want to share my story, photos and videos http://www.youtube.com/user/MoTubeHD
Kayfabe Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 wow too bad i did not own a camera and therefore have no images or footage! but that site is great!
Vaso.Of.Suburbia Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Pretty cool website, but there are no pink dots on East Europe, and it breaks my heart
gloria123 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 thats a really cool idea! to bad I've never been to a Green Day concert...
Hermione Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I think it's a bit off for them to have a competition of this kind that's only open to fans who are lucky enough to have been able to go to a Green Day show and not the many fans who haven't . Don't like it. The last people they should be excluding from a one off opportunity to see a Green Day thing are people who have never got to see a Green Day thing before. Rewarding someone for being lucky or rich enough to see a show when they've already had the reward of seeing the show.........it just perpetuates the ridiculous idea that going to shows makes you a better or more deserving fan.

I never looked at it like that yeah i agree with you!

I doubt the guys had anything to do with it, probably just a management call. Bad call nonetheless. Bit stupid that most if not all of the 2010 shows are missing from a website thats meant to be promoting them.
Hermione Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I never looked at it like that yeah i agree with you! I know they're just trying to give an incentive for people to submit stuff to the site, there's nothing sinister behind it. It's just the fact that it's such a special prize that would be appreciated equally (or more) by fans who have never got to see any Green Day stuff for themselves. So it's a shame this particular contest isn't open to all fans. I doubt the guys had anything to do with it, probably just a management call. Bad call nonetheless. Yeah I agree, just a bad call.
insomniaticnimrod Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 i have only been able to afford to go to one gd concert i added my photos anyways
stuart_and_the_ave Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 It won't let me log in!! I tried the forgot password thing and that didn't work, just got an error message I think it's a bit off for them to have a competition of this kind that's only open to fans who are lucky enough to have been able to go to a Green Day show and not the many fans who haven't . I hadn't thought of that but I agree. At least it's open to any country, not US only
whatshername0303 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 It's pretty nice! We can go back to 1994's shows in Montreal!
Rebel07 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I just posted some stuff, they didn't add any of the dates from 2010 on the map did they? and they put the wrong venue for one of the Kansas City shows lol Oh well, really sweet site and contest I hope a GDC'er wins!
Leisha-LUNA Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 So who made this site? It doesn't seem official, at all. And I'm therefore confused and skeptical of the legitimacy of the competition. That's a huge contest to be offering, and like people said, really unfair to those that haven't seen GD live. It's not confirmed on GD.com...
ash.loves.gd Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I like the idea of them documenting all of this stuff, but they need to add the 2010 shows. What happens to the fans that put away their cameras and phones when Billie was ranting about "putting away your cameras and phones!!!!"

Leisha-LUNA Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 They are missing a lot of shows. Like the 2nd Melbourne one in 2009.
NoVaCaInE! Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 They are missing a lot of shows. Like the 2nd Melbourne one in 2009. Yeah they're missing loads by the look of it, a lot of the 2010 shows aren't up
Leisha-LUNA Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Green Day posted it on facebook and twitter Oh really? cool, thanks for clarifying. Shows how much I hate and don't use twitter!
Leisha-LUNA Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Yeah they're missing loads by the look of it, a lot of the 2010 shows aren't up yeah, which is weird and stupid haha, you'd think those would be the ones more likely to be there. its on gd.com I totally couldn't see it when I looked. O_O Clearly I am crazy.
