TreCoolJr Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 mine would have to last night on earth and when its time just always makes me smile and feel happy because its mine and my girlfriends songs
Marki. Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Almost all of them. Jesus Of Suburbia Paper Lanterns Having A Blast Stuck With Me J.A.R. One Of My Lies ... and the list goes on and on.
Punk-tastic32 Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I can trace back almost any song to something that makes it special. At the moment, I can think of Holiday... Which my friend and I played really loudly in her mom's car while driving around Portland before I moved away.
Stormy Haze Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Basically every single Green Day song means something to me... that's why they're my favourite band, I can relate to their music, a LOT
solongfromthestars Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 So many of the songs mean something to me, but Viva La Gloria! the most. It's a really special song for me that despite how stupid it sounds, changed my life a lot.
Katarina. Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 A lot. Most of them actually. I'm not even going to start naming them, the list would get too long, haha. Starting with Waiting, One of My Lies, Paper Lanterns, Hold On etc. etc. etc. We have song discussion threads, there you can write how much a certain songs means to you
CzechIdiot Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I think almost all, but the most maybe Jesus of suburbia, castaway and viva la gloria
Laurenn Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 woah, so many.... both the Viva La Glorias, When It's Time, Too Much Too Soon (i guess it counts), and Welcome to Paradiseand more....
fadi_7 Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Almost all of them. Jesus Of Suburbia Paper Lanterns Having A Blast Stuck With Me J.A.R. One Of My Lies ... and the list goes on and on. OK WTF!! are you a mind reader ?!! i wanted to say just the same
Marki. Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 OK WTF!! are you a mind reader ?!! i wanted to say just the same Haha I'm not , I guess we just like the same songs. That's good to hear though
Marlee Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I remember the first time i heard She. It described my life perfectly and I've had a real strong personal connection to the song ever since. "are you locked up in a world that's been planned out for you" exactly my life
manuMinority Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 actually, all of the green day songs are special to me. i can relate my life to nearly every single song. but i start crying everytime i hear "Macy's Day Parade". 'Cause I'm thinkin about a brand new hope. The one I've never known. 'Cause now I know it's all that I wanted <3 i don't know exactly why though :/
St. Vicky Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Almost every green day song means something to me. But Jesus of Suburbia the most.
Pedestrian9394 Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Well a lot of their songs mean something to me..but for different reasons. I know for a fact that Good Riddance was the first Green Day song I ever heard, so that's pretty special. I think a lot of the songs that mean the most to me are meaningful because they remind me of a time or place. Listening to Money Money 2020 always reminds me of going to NYC to see the musical. It was the soundtrack to that whole trip.
IlariaIDIOT Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Basically every single Green Day song means something to me... that's why they're my favourite band, I can relate to their music, a LOT I agree : D But Boulevard Of Broken Dreams has something special, you know.. Maybe 'cause it's the first song that i've listened to.
Isabel Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 God, so many of their songs mean something to me. Nearly every single song from 1,039/SOSH is so imporant and relevant to me...makes sense why it's my favourite album. Although the album in general doesn't relate to me, some lines from Jesus Of Suburbia and Homecoming feel so relevant to me, and yet I only discovered this after seeing the musical. "It says home is where your heart is but what a shame, cause everyone's heart doesn't beat the same" "You taught me how to live" "This lifelike dream aint for me" just a couple that have been real eye openers for me in the last week.
BrokenHome Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 American Idiot, JOS, BOBD, Whatsername, Armatage Shanks, JAR, One For the Razorbacks, Waiting, Minority definitely the songs that mean the most to me
Clayish Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Jesus of Suburbia truly introduced me to music. I couldn't believe what I was listening to. I remember the exact feeling and place where I heard it for the first time.
Kilgores Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 When I'm listening the whole American Idiot album,f from the AI to Whatsername, I'm feeling sg strange...and it's beautiful. I am happy, say, I want to shout, cry and run at the same time. Uhh, read what a wrote and I think I'm crazy, but I really like this feeling. It's awsome and emotional. But I can really empathize myself into Macy's day parade, Time of your life or 21 guns
AnnA™ Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Practically all of them, in one way or the other. Many, many of them I can relate to emotionally. As an example, Boulevard of Broken Dreams was the one that got me into them in the first place. Nearly all of their early 90's songs describes exactly what I'm going through at the moment and there are so many songs that brings back the sweetest memories I have. That's the thing about Green Day I guess, and why I love the music so much - the fact that it actually means something to me.
Burnout98 Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Many of their songs have a special meaning to me. But the songs that stand out are Castaway and Armatage Shanks.
gloria123 Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 i would say Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? and Android along with others like Minority, Whatsername, and just about what everyone else said...
Smoothed Out Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 It would probably 21 Guns because that was the first song that made me truly realise how much this new band could possibly make an influence on my life, it touches me everytime I hear it and takes me back to some of the best times in my life
