Guest EDIT Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Which would you want them to make an official DVD or CD of and put on iTunes that is not already around? Do you think MTV and Warner should release some of the archive footage or keep private for millions of years...
Rage & Love. Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 this is really hard, cos you've put in stuff like Wembley Arena? it's not really a show that everyone has seen, and it's only fair if you put Wembley Arena in, then you put like, EVERY single live gig they've done :L
Burnout98 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I absolutely loved Storytellers. I never get sick of watching their Homecoming performance.
Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I think Green Day at CBGBs if they had some sort of better quality video of it would be the best, awesome setlist, awesome venue. Otherwise I'd have Fuse Comp'd for the (much better than usual for the American Idiot tour) setlist and hope this time they play the full Holden Caulfield. I absolutely loved Storytellers. I never get sick of watching their Homecoming performance. Again, Comp'd for the same reason. Plus Christie Road, and "this is my favourite song of American Idiot" "ME TOO!" *then starts intro to Letterbomb.
EvanAsFuck Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I don't see the 7-27-09 MSG show on here. The videos I've seen of that on YouTube are edited into a multi-cam mix, and pretty epic. That was such a great show (I was there!)... But the second night of MSG (the 28th) just completely blew away the first night, and the A Quick One While He's Away cover was like the greatest thing ever! Jaded in Chicago is my all time favorite performance of theirs I've seen, I just love the energy and the raw-ness of it...
Wet socks traumatize me Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 if only they could put out a DVD for every freaking concert...
radiofriendlyunitshifter Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Pearl Jam has put out an "official bootleg CD" for almost every one of their shows since 2000. If Green Day did that with every concert video from the 21st Century Breakdown Tour, that would be so awesome.
Comedy & Tragedy Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 What about Rude Boys (Live in Spain, 2003)? That's a good one I really don't know to be honest I haven't seen all of them yet. and from the ones I have seen, it's so hard to choose
BringMoreKnives Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Only seen about 1/3 of those, to be honest
solongfromthestars Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 For performance probably one of the later ones because I think they've got better and better live over the years. But I haven't seen all of them so I can't really say I do love Live Without Warning though, looks like that was a great show.
Anja Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 You put so many choices that it's nearly impossible to choose one
DecanoLP Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Sorry, but this topic is pretty senseless and it's nearly impossible to vote for a show. You only listed a few, there are many many many many many more DVDs circulating around, so... I don't know
Mr. Boron Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Jaded in Chicago, you gotta love the beginning of She.
madddie Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 It has to be Bullet in a Bible for me, just because I went to see them at Milton Keynes and it was my first ever gig.
Uva Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 I was sure Bullet in a Bible would take first place) but I voted for it too
Guest EDIT Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Does anyone think MTV might ever show any of GD's older concerts again? Like Jaded in Chicago, Bottom of the Hill, Live Without Warning. They have the archive footage because they used it on Behind the Music Remastered and sent all their old tapes of them they have archived to the Green Day Rock Band creators on two dvds and that's how they have the great quality unlockables in the game. I realize there is a very small chance but do you think it's possible?
Noy Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 BIAB is awesome and i like Jaded in Chicago too
JoeMcHugh Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Reading fest 2004, amazing performance. The crowd is so loud on Basket Case. Even though i'm a Leeds festival goer, I still think their performance there was the best.
Monica. Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 urgh. This is tough! hmm..BIAB for sure and Storytellers was great as well!
Guest EDIT Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Does anyone else think Green Day and MTV should release the archive concert footage on iTunes or DVD? I think it would be a good idea if they put like Jaded in Chicago, MTV World Stage, Bottom of the Hill, Live Without Warning, Storytellers on iTunes because unlike a DVD release, there is no way that they can lose money. Also, I think GD should put there old live albums and singles on iTunes. Live Tracks, Foot In Mouth, Bowling Bowling Bowling Parking Parking, Tune In Tokyo. Just a thought...
fadi_7 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 i love goat island i love the songs that they play in it and the way they play them
Isabel Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 wow, that is a long list. Personally, I'd say the Fox theatre show where they played 21st Century Breakdown in its entirety. A good quality DVD of that performance would be lovely
littlegirl-of-suburbia Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I'd say every performence because they are all so fucking awesome
The Platypus! Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I voted for Comp'd Fuse, it's amazing especially minority, but if AAF was in there that would get my vote.
