-Billiejoezee- Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 I was wondering, when a green Day item (DVD, CD, rock band) comes out, do you buy it the first day, or do you like waiting some days, like to see if it get's cheaper?

I've only had the chance to do it three times (BIAB, 21st CB and Rockband) since most stuff came out before I became a fan but I love buying and listening to it on the day. Even with their old albums I made myself buy them one at a time and at least 2 weeks apart, so each time would be a special occasion I could enjoy and savour to the fullest Plus it's really fun getting it the same time as other people on GDC and getting excited about it together. Having said that though if they ever released something at what I considered a rip-off price I would sacrifice all that and wait for the price to drop, I don't pay rip-off prices for anything.

The way I see it, the anxiety of waiting offsets the bit of money I might save waiting. Besides; nothing they have put out has been a huge dent for me, becuase I usually have plenty of spending money set aside I never use -unless a college semester just started...then I'm broke-

I would probably cry my eyes out and wallow in self pity if that happened But everything happens for a reason, I guess. Maybe if you went, on the car ride there you would've got into an accident. Yeah I just think of stuff like that when I'm sad lol

I kind of feel like I'm a part history when I go out and buy the record (or DVD, game, what have you). And it's cool to know that fans all around the world are doing the same thing.

As for 21CB, I had completely forgotten that it was coming out and was only at Best Buy to get new headphones.

The money I used for buying this quarter's textbooks alone were enough for a trip to New York to see the musical. And that seriously pisses me off. I'm only using these textbooks for 10 weeks, then what...they sit around unused...while I could have used the money for something like seeing the musical. Grrr anyways done ranting. Back to the topic, if it's a Green Day item, then yes I'll definitely get it the same day! It's worth every penny! Other things can wait.
