Fuzz Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 What's one song you would have liked to see them add to AAF, and why? Obviously it has to be a song they played on this tour. Here's a list of songs they played. I would have loved Horseshoes and Hand grenades, but they only played that song during the 'pre-tour' shows in CA. I love when they play the fast, loud stuff live.
aldyofficial Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I Choose She's a Rebel it's a good song to make the crowd jump around but they only played it once
Vrock09 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I really would have liked to see the full version of Peacemaker, we got a tiny part of it in Detroit (killjoy from Detroit part) during Holiday, or even if that had made it on. And I still have my fingers crossed that some day they will play Misery I really wished Platypus and Homecoming would have made it too!
Vaso.Of.Suburbia Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 My favorite ones are in AAF (Who Wrote Holden Caulfield, Burnout). But I'd love to see the metal jam, FOD, Disappearing Boy and Homecoming too....
Marki. Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I would like to see a million songs on AAF, but the first thing that comes to mind is Redundant + Words I Might Have Ate from Prague. I still have the MP3 version that was posted on GDA saved in my computer and I heard it about 93256754810 times, but I still can't get over how beautiful it is. Billie's voice =
Libby :) Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Nice Guys Finish Last. From my favourite album, and I know they played it as I saw it at Wembley. I love it
Princess Consuela Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Anything from Mainz would do for me But I'd love to see the whole KFOD/Shout performance since it was reeaaally amazing. The crowd got ALL the band members to sing. Viva La Gloria, Going to Pasalacqua. Murder City, Maria, acoustic Pulling Teeth, Fuck Time (yeah I know it's not GD but I don't care) would be awesome to see on the album as well
Alan86 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Waiting from wembley stadium. They don't play enough songs from warning, Minority is a setlist regular but it was already on BIAB so Waiting would have been great to have on AAF. Warning is the only album with no songs to feature on AAF Even Cig and Val an album that was never released has a song on there.
Punk-tastic32 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 NGFL, Minority, Homecoming, KFAD, since it's, y'know, their trademark... Also anything from Singapore This is kinda beside the point, but I would do almost anything to see Too Much Too Soon live (...or well, a recorded live version.)
Katarina. Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Waiting. Because I love that song, and I've seen videos of it when they played it live at Wembley, AMAZING. It's such a great song live. There are songs on AAF from every album except for Warning, so it would've been perfect to include Waiting. (It's hard to just pick one song though. I know that's what's interesting about this thread.. To hear people explain why they wanted a certain song on the album. But there are so many more songs that were amazing live, and should've been included on AAF imo. Like KFAD/Shout, Homecoming, Redundant/Words I Might Have Ate, Before the Lobotomy, 1,000 Hours, I Was There etc. And any song from Pinkpop, like Give me Novacaine or Last Night On Earth.)
Rebel07 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Road To Acceptance was the first thing that popped into my head. Homecoming and One of My Lies would have been nice too..
GDJonny Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Has to be Nice Guys Finish Last. Such a great song, and fitted the tour perfectly.
Burnout98 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Lets see..... Nice Guys Finish Last Homecoming FOD Armatage Shanks
DecanoLP Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Homecoming just because it is my favourite Green Day song I Was There or Road To Acceptance would have been amazing too since they only played it in Costa Rica.
solongfromthestars Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Any of the rare stuff they played in Costa Rica would have been amazing, but most of all I wanted to see the Viva La Gloria from CR make it onto AAF. All tour I was hoping they'd play that song when I was there, then they finally did. It was awesome. But the setlist for AAF's still pretty cool.
euphoric-pareidolias Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Minority, KFAD and NGFL. All three songs get everyone going and they're brilliant live!! KFAD is always brilliant with all the extra things they do at the end. Least though there is some variety so its not like another bullet in a bible and will have its own style
Tubbie Head Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 It's really difficult to choose one, 'cause I would love to see them all hahah. But King For A Day/Shout - with all the guys singing the little bit of shout and all that stuff, but that would be in the DVD not in the CD. And some acoustic oldies Billie played in the encores, like Words I Might Have Ate or even the acoustic Christie Road. Those simple versions of the songs just blew me away (from the bad quality recordings on youtube I've heard). That's why I would love to hear those recordings on the CD! I still hope that someday Billie Joe re-records them in the studio, just like that, acoustic... That's when you can really hear his voice. Another one I would love love love would be Drama Queen =) I would like to see a million songs on AAF, but the first thing that comes to mind is Redundant + Words I Might Have Ate from Prague. I still have the MP3 version that was posted on GDA saved in my computer and I heard it about 93256754810 times, but I still can't get over how beautiful it is. Billie's voice = Yeah! That's exactly it, I also have heard those a million times!
CzechIdiot Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Redundant, Nice Guys Finish Last, Its Fuck Time and (I get get no) Satisfaction
colour_me_stupid_ Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Waiting from wembley stadium. They don't play enough songs from warning, Minority is a setlist regular but it was already on BIAB so Waiting would have been great to have on AAF. Warning is the only album with no songs to feature on AAF Even Cig and Val an album that was never released has a song on there. I agree, Waiting from Wembley would have been lovely, especially cause I was there I was going to say American Eulogy, but that's on the DVD, so nevermind
greendaytone Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 A lot of good choices already, I'll throw one into the hat... At The Library - they played it a couple of times I think, once at Birmingham in 2009 for sure.
ANJI Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 King For A Day/Shout...great song live Scattered too!
Punx89 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Nice guys finish last,king for a day,metal jam and when it's time...
