I keep hearing about all these people meeting Billie at the show and honestly i wanna know how they're doing it. I work part time at a crappy Mcdonalds and almost, almost have the plane tickets saved up so my girlfriend and i can go. She is in love with Billie. I know i must face it i am no billie joe, haha! And her birthday wish is to go meet him and i want to make that possible. I understand if no one wants to share their secerts. But it would mean the world to her she wants him to sign her upper leg. (To hide it from her parents, LOL) Thanks Everyone

as far as i know, people wait outside the theatre after the show. eventually Billie comes out and signs some autographs. :)

I was wondering that too  But yeah, what Elisa said. You just wait outside the red carpet and try to get in the first or second row. I will definitely try that when I'm in NY next month.

That's exactly what I asked myself today :runaround: I thought its damn hard to meet him...

Well I believe it could be one of the first time ever where fans can "meet" Billie (because he kinda only signs autographs)

I'm going next week, on the matinee but for "meeting" him i'll try on going after the evening show and wait outside as soon as the barricade are in place!

I hope he can signs my arm; i'm gonna make it a tattoo! :woot:

Well, the way I see it, most of it depends on luck. People who've met Billie after the show were just at the right spot at the right time.

There are two things you really need to make sure of if you wanna meet Billie. First, you gotta leave the theatre even before the show ends to claim a spot near the front in time. I had tickets for the matinee, and even then, people were immediately rushing towards the stage door right after the show. When my cousin and I got out of the theatre, we couldn't even move. It was so packed. If you don't get the front spot early, you're S.O.L.

And second, you gotta be sure that he's even actually coming out. When I went, we waited for a while before the cops finally told us that Billie wasn't gonna be coming out and we all needed to move along. So he may not even be there. It's more likely he'll be coming out of the theatre after a night show than a matinee (he could be using the time in between shows to write songs, rehearse a bit, etc), so make sure that he's actually coming out after the show.

Only those two things TOGETHER can almost guarantee you a Billie Joe signed program or ticket.

If i remember right, last time he was at the st james didnt he come out before the show and just randomly talk to the crowd? I might have just dreamt that up, but i'm sure i remember someone saying that.

Yeah, I'd say just bail out of the theatre before Good Riddance starts. Maybe even earlier...

Good Luck!

Last time that he did it for the week, there were so many people because it was only a week, on that Saturday that I saw it, there were people across the street with signs, and it was just crazy.

This time its two months long, and I know alot of my friends with profile pictures on facebook with him.

I'm seeing it in a week so I don't know for sure, but I think its because of the long time to see him, that its not as crazy and people can actually talk to him.

But who would want to miss Good Riddance? :(

Yeah that would kind of suck. Maybe if you were gonna be in New York more than one day you could wait outside a different day instead?

That's my plan anyway haha I will be in NY for 6 nights so I'll just go to the theater as often as I can even if I'm not attenting the musical that night. My only concern is that they wont let you on the red carpet if you dont have a ticket. I mean, that way everybody could just come and meet him.

we got to front of the barrier twice and still didn't get an autograph. He didn't sign everything people place infront of him.

Yeah I dunno if it's possible or not but worth a try I reckon! A nice bit of theatre one day, a nice bit of stalking the next :D

Someone from New York must know if it's possible to wait for Billie outside if you're not going to the show. Is it?

You don't even need to go to the show. I suggest waiting for everyone to go into the matinee and waiting by the stage door until the show ends. Usually Billie Joe signs everything and leaves, but I was fortunate enough to get to talk with him/get a photo, he was in a good mood that day.

You won't be getting on the red carpet anyway :D It's just a sidewalk where everyone to any time can wait, so you can just walk up get your place and wait for the barrier to be build up^^ It's really that easy, cause it's not really meeting since he just signs stuff and moves on

He just talked to me because of the photo I handed him, maybe you bring something special and you get a few words outta him too :)

Oh and don't wait after the matinee he won't come out anyway most of the time, you'll just freeze to death xD

I would go for the Christie road pic :woot: Cause that's something new again that no one has done before and that's a sure thing to get his attention!

I will do it then :woot: OMG YOU MADE ME SO HYPER NOW!! haha

It actually sounds like as if it was 100% sure to meet him if you just get to the barrier. Which will be easy, I'm practised :D
