'01-13 - FRESH AIR

Tune in tomorrow to hear Billie Joe Armstrong's interview with Terry Gross from NPR's Fresh Air running tomorrow!

Fresh Air with Terry Gross, the Peabody Award-winning weekday magazine of contemporary arts and issues, is one of public radio's most popular programs. Each week, nearly 4.5 million people listen to the show's intimate conversations broadcast on more than 450 National Public Radio (NPR) stations across the country, as well as in Europe on the World Radio Network.

It's a repeat - but it's a good 'un. :P

A heads up to people with Sky TV (Ireland & UK) - they air this show on WRN - radio channel 0112.

This channel seems to air pretty much worldwide so make sure to check! (Their info on their site seems a little outta date though)...

Looks like you can download an mp3 of the whole show directly from http://www.npr.org/programs/fresh-air/ after it airs, maybe around 5pm ET?

I think I will ending up reading it... Thanks for posting!

I believe that it is a repeat of an interview they did last year.

Yay i have Sky :D I'll put it on record!

If you search for "Billie Joe" or for "Green Day", this comes up. It's the interview they did last year, with Terry Gross, so it must be a repeat.

Repeat or not, it was a great interview last year and worth hearing (or reading, as it was yesterday!) again.

Reading? Is there a transcript or something?

Yeah it actually has the whole interview available to stream and stuff too. :) Haha, I forgot I actually used that site to listen to it back when it aired first.

It might have aired yesterday though, I'm not sure. I'm hoping it's airing this morning! :) I'm gonna record it on my vcr.

ugh, it wasn't it.

but it was from the 14th, not the 15th so hopefully it'll air at 11am. :)

I don't care if it's a repeat or not, 'cause i haven't heard this interview before. Anyways, i'm gonna download it when it's over.

So is this an old or a new one?

My English teacher told me about this yesterday. She was like, "HeyElizabeth, that one guy you like--you know, the ONE--is going to be on NPR." Pretty much made my day. :) I might listen to it again, as I remember it was quite an insightful interview.

Ahhh! :D So I caught it at 11am yesterday. My VCR even cooperated for once!

It was a repeat, yes but they updated a little bit of info - such as mentioning AAF and Billie Joe returning to broadway.

Haha, the woman was so intrusive with her questions. Great interview though!
