fadi_7 Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 what name do you prefer green day or sweet children?? for me it's green day i don't know why but it seems that green day is a better name than sweet children what is your opinion about it??
Isabel Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Even if they didn't change the name to Green Day specifically, I would find it very hard to believe they they would still keep up a name like 'Sweet Children' when they hit their 20's.

The name 'Green Day' is way better than Sweet Children. As a senior band, it's kinda awkward to have a name 'Sweet Children' for a band which has sold millions of copies of their records across the world.

A name that stands for a boring day full of drugs doesn't bring it for me. Green Day themselves think it sucks.

They wouldn't be where they are today with the name Sweet Children because really its the simple names that make them popular and I think Green Day suits them better as a band. Sweet Children I think was a bad name for them anyway.

I've seen that interview a couple of times. they've confessed that they have the worst name in music history, but y'know, that name really stands out among a dozen!

Zero. Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I can see it 15 years from now "Ladies and Gentlemen, Sweet Children!" - that type of name really has an expiry date to tell the truth... But Green Day isn't the greatest name either even though I think its definitely the better name.
