NothingButYourImagination Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I searched and didn't see this posted yet so I thought I would. Green Day was listed in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list being at # 193 with Dookie. You can find it and the rest of the list here: #193 Green Day: Dookie
whatshername0303 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Oh...that's awesome! It has a great description. Thanks for the link, I didn't know it.
Izzard Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I could have predicted the Beetles would be at number one
justcause Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Jeez but that's a great list - I clicked on lots of 'em. Nice writing, too.
Satan Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 surprised it wasn't american idiot. they made a mistake though. they forgot the other seven albums.
taybay Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 this is how the list should go. #1. 21st century breakdown american idiot warning nimrod insomniac dookie kerplunk 1039/smoothed out slappy hours end of list.
NothingButYourImagination Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 ^ Yeah, I agree with you guys. But I think the list wasn't in any particular order; it was just to list the best in general. I'm really surprised American Idiot wasn't on there too.
Zero. Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Yeah, I've seen this before (Not here, thought lol), but it's awesome!
Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 There's no bigger fail than having 4 Beatles albums in the top 10, and not one of them being Abbey Road, their best and the greatest album of all time (not my favourite but it is the best). Sgt Peppers is a heap of shite, and yet it's number one, to put The White Album in is an insult to every cohesive album made ever, it has an album's worth of classic songs but they deliberately didn't whittle it down to 10 or 12, if they did it would be the best album ever. Instead they kept it as the overblown filler heavy 30 song mess it is and it has no place in a top albums list.
Burnout98 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Well, im glad at least one of them made it on to the list. Everyone who picks these lists are tools anyway.
Marlee Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 well I'm glad that at least they received some sort of recognition in the list
Katarina. Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I don't agree with most of that, but it's really great Green Day made the list anyway!
Eeefaa. Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Sort of surprised they werent higher up, but it's a very good list
