Well, the actual show only lasted about 2 hours (just over 2 hours). The other stuff was just pre/post show that we never planned on including in the episode.

And i did cut out all the shoutouts. Pretty much anything where we took a break I cut out, and it was always during those breaks when people were getting shout outs.

I feel special being a serious Green Day fan!

Great show! I was smiling during the whole thing. Hopefully I can catch it live next time :)

so I'm listening to the podcast and hearing you all screw up the history of the signs, lol. I don't know how many times i posted this short history that I wrote up when they first came out, but couldn't any of you take the time to actually read it or mention it?

I'm sure they know the history, I mean 2 of the guys were there.

Were you watching the live podcast? In their defense there was quite a lot of alcohol consumed (or Pepsi in Alex's case) and a lot of giddy shenanigans. I'm surprised the final podcast sounded so professional!

Nope... cause they still screwed it up.

And the signs changed at the Talkbacks to "Idiot as Fuck."

I'm sure if people really wanted to know where the signs came from, they would have read your link already.

You seem to post it alot.

They got the basic gist of the story and that's what matters. People can read the full backstory if they want, but what's most important is people know that 'Awesome As Fuck' comes from signs from fans at concerts.

The podcast covered that beautifully :)

oh, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who really can't stand Catcher In The Rye.

I hate it when I say I don't like it and people say 'but it's a classic!'

it may be a classic, but that doesnt take away from the fact that I find it boring and whiney.

I post it a lot because when it first happened people got their feelings hurt about not being mentioned in regards to the signs. I post it a lot because I've been writing about the tour since May 2009, and one of the most important things that I wrote about ended up being the title to the new album. I suppose since it is so important to us all, I thought maybe they would at least mention it, particularly since the history is all in one place.

Anyway, I thought I was being helpful for all of us.
