Sanity Loan Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 According to the Washington Post, the six remaining groups on the NBC show "The Sing-Off" will be performing "21 Guns" together tomorrow night. The show starts at 8:00pm EST on NBC. The six remaining a cappella groups are united as one happy family on "The Sing-Off" (NBC at 8), and all croon a rendition of Green Day's "21 Guns." Once the fun is over, they face off again, and one group is eliminated after they take turns singing guilty-pleasure songs. From that last bit, I take it that the song will be sung first thing so I don't think we will have to suffer through the whole show. I MIGHT be recording it and will post it if I do. Hermione Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 "Croon" it, haha. I'll enjoy watching this if you or anyone else records it
Sanity Loan Posted December 12, 2010 Author Posted December 12, 2010 Yes, the "croon" will be quite interesting
Burnout98 Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Damn! i'm in Australia.....oh well, someone will record it.
GDJonny Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 A cappella version of 21 Guns? really? A bit of a weird song choice.
Fuzz Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 This is happening tomorrow night apparently, not tonight.
EvanAsFuck Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Hmm... I'll probably just look for a recording the day after! Could be interesting...
abattlecry Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 eww.. Should be pretty bad. They don't tend to treat songs to kindly on these sort of shows.
gdpony Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I hope I dont forget to watch it tomorrow thanks for posting!
November's Storms Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Damn! i'm in Australia.... One of the beautiful things about the internet
luvgirlcl Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 This has 'cringe' potential all over it, but it could work if they take a page from the musical version. Can't wait to see it, though.
Heather! Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 God, I hate that show. Probably will not watch.
Olive. Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Ah, this will be fun. I give them props for choosing Green Day, but these shows, no.
spark in the night Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 never saw this show never even heard of it but that sounds so lame
The Snark Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 DO NOT WANT. This is almost as bad as if Glee did a GD song...
jtdscape Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Never heard of it before, but I just found out that apprently my mom watches it so I will be watching it tomorrow night.
Salmonator. Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Ugh, I saw an episode last week (Yeah The Sing-Off airs on Monday nights) and they were terrible, so I don't have too much hope for this.
Sanity Loan Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 Oh god this was terrible. They copied the musical's version 100%
jtdscape Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 They already played it? I tuned in a few mins late. I guess I missed it. Time to change the channel.
gdpony Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Oh god this was terrible. They copied the musical's version 100% totally forgot to watch this! was it that bad? I'll look for a video later ....
Laura! Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 It was the musical version exactly with someone beatboxing in the background. I didn't really like it.
gloria123 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 by the posts i just read i'm happy i saved my eardrums i had a feeling that it wouldn't be to good
luvgirlcl Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 It was the musical version exactly with someone beatboxing in the background. I didn't really like it. Beatboxing? I need to see that...the only people I trust with the musical version of 21 Guns is the AI cast because they kick ass and are all around awesome. But I'll give these people the benefit of the doubt until I see some video proof (although I remember seeing a video of one of these groups doing Lady Gaga's Bad Romance and it was pretty amazing in a LOL kind of way).
