21St Century Breakdown = Post-Bush Jingletown

Am I the only one that thought of the setting of 21CBD to be a post-Bush version of Jingletown?? That was just the impression I got, probably just because they're both rock operas and are both politic-based.

Just thought I'd put that up for discussion.

I've always believed that the theme of 21CB was kinda like an "apocalyptic" America, where everything is on the edge of complete destruction and the "American Dream" has fallen to pieces. But, relating it to AI's story, it could make some sense: it could be that Bush was the one that left the country like that, destroyed, ruined.

I assume she thinks it is because of the Detroit mention in Peacemaker. But I assume the story (as AI) takes place in Anywhere, USA, as that's kind of the point.
