Boston Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Its just about that time of year for most (and for some, like me, its already that time) when Christmas music takes over our lives. I already know of Billie's recording of Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, and I was curious if there are any other holiday tunes by Green Day floating around. I would much appreciate it if any could be sent out, because I personally love band renditions of holiday classics, and I'm sure others on this forum do as well. * Note: I realize there's a thread for how much we wish there were an official Green Day Christmas album. This is not it. This is different.
Desensitized09 Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 I also have Green Day playing The First Noel and Santa Clause is coming to down, but they're mp3s in my Itunes.

Haha yeah it's Green Day songs changed into a Christmas version with no lyrics. It's pretty interesting. Haha the green lantern comics probably come up because it has "green" in the title like green day. That would be my best guess, lol.

Boston Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 I don't mean to start a new debate, but why is Christmas music at this time of year annoying? I agree that in early November its a bit much, but I love it and want to listen to it as much as I can before the holidays end. I don't think its bad to listen to it a month in advance.
Isabel Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I have Santa Claus is Coming To Town, Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree and The First Noel...all from the phone messages back in the early 00's.
Salmonator. Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 At the Homecoming show I was at they played a few Christmas songs, you could possibly find those on YouTube?
-Billiejoezee- Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I listen to the green days of Xmas every year.
Liam Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Some of those songs are actually in the download links http://www.greendaycommunity.org/Forum/index.php?showtopic=40734&view=findpost&p=1425202

I'm only speaking from personal opinion, but listening to all those Christmas songs for over a month is just too much. By the time Christmas has come around, those songs and all the holly jolly buzz associated with them have lost their meaning. I don't want to sound like Scrooge, I do like Christmas and love some of the Christmas songs! But just not too early!
pasalaska Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 eugh christmas songs. I've had them at work since the beginning of the month. so over christmas already
euphoric-pareidolias Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 christmas music is doing my head in..its EVERYWHERE!!! a guy in a shop let me blast green day from the ipod speakers just to drown out "all i want for christmas, issss youuuuuuuuuu" they should at least wait until december to start playing it
