Contest For The Best Logo / Drawing Submission for this event

I'm sure a lot of you on here have heard about the meet up of Green Day fans all over the world on May 28, 2011

GDlover94 & Q.O.D. came up with this concept. I have taken it a little further. I thought it would be great if we

took up Green Day's cause on that day and we all could do something to help clean up the environment. There are

lots of things that you can do to help the environment. I am the representative for the United States and I am hoping to

have a meet up in every state on that day. I'm looking for representatives and assistants for each. each state

can get together and choose their platform on what they are going to do in their state to help clean up the environment.

Also after we finish with the clean up efforts we will all be having a kick ass Green Day party. I am working my ass off

to get a lot of press on this. When it gets closer to that time I'm going to pay for ad space in some popular music

magazines. I will also be having several contest before and on May 28, 2011 & I'll be giving away some nice Green Day

merchandise. I am also working on getting some sponsors so that maybe we can get t-shirts and other stuff we may need

for this event. I am putting my heart and soul into this and anyone that wants to help is more than welcome. Actually I encourage

you too help. We need all the help we can get, May 2011 seems far away but with an event of this magnitude it is not far off at all.

I want this to be huge. To me this is the ultimate way for us fans to say thank you to Green Day. I want this

to make history. This is something that has never been done in the history of music. If we can pull this off (which I know we can)

we will be History making. I want when Green Day gets inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame that when the presenter

that gives the speech will talk about May 28, 2011.

Anyway, now about the contest:

I am looking for an awesome logo drawing to represent this event "Green Day Fans Across The World"

Everyone is welcome to enter and the best one will win some cool Green Day merchandise and their drawing

will be used on t-shirts, banners, buttons and other things for this event. I did my best to describe what this event is about

so that way you have some idea of what we are looking for in a drawing. It would be nice if you can incorporate the title and the

date in you drawing. I may choose a few winners and I promise you will get some really nice Green Day merchandise and not junky

crap.I promise it will be worth the effort.The deadline for your submission will be December 01, 2010 EDIT:This

contest has been extended till Jan. 03, 2011 upon the request of several GD fans that need the extra time due to school....2 Others

and myself will be judging this contest. We are going to be looking for the drawing that most captures the spirit of what this event is

all about. If you have any questions you can ask me (dawn71). and we will do our best to help you.I hope everyone gets

CONTEST. I choose this name as a compromise since everyone is up in the air

about it and "Green for a day" just doesn't sound like we are trying to honor the band

in what we are doing

I sure hope a lot more people are working on entering this contest than there

are people that have been posting on here because so far the turn out looks pitiful.

Maybe this will help out: I know I haven't told anyone what the top winners will receive

for winning this contest that is because there are lots of prizes everything from

Original Green Day Silk Screen Prints that are signed and numbered, to custom made tops,

and vinyl albums, CD's, cassettes, a whole lot of Green Day merchandise to be given away.

The way we will decide who gets what prizes is the top winner will choose from all the

items what they want then 2nd place will get 2nd pick and 3rd will get 3rd pick and so on and

so on. Please post your progress on here let me know if you intend to enter this contest

so I can keep this thread popular and I can also keep track of how many prizes to have on hand

for this contest. I need some Awesome submissions. The top winners of this contest will have their

Great idea about the contest, Dawn. Sorry I never posted about this on my blog like you asked. I haven't posted anything for about a week, been kinda busy lately. Of course, GDA will get the word out much better than I can. There are so many great artists in this place.

Did you also put this up at the Idiot Club? I was over there earlier today and didn't see anything about it? Or maybe I overlooked it?

I'm not sure on that one I'll have to get back to you on that because I may have these printed

on t-shirts,buttons,flyers and banners and don't want to break any copy right laws.

I am looking for something that incorporates the whole idea of Green Day ,their fans coming

together all over the world and helping to do our part to help save the environment in honor of Green Day...

You could probably use them and just change them a little plus since I'm not selling them it should be ok.

But if you change a logo a tiny bit then it's not the same as the original and should be ok

I hope everyone gets involved in this. This project can be hand drawn or computer graphics. I wish everyone good luck on this.

but they all must be emailed to me also. I have got some nice prizes for the top winner and for everyone that enters. The top

winners will be receving an awesome Green Day collectors item all other that enter will be receiving a very nice gift (they

wont be green day related prizes but will still be very nice, I have some rings of all types, necklaces,watches,earrings,

bracelets and other stuff (lots of punk style jewelry) everyone will receive nice gifts for just entering. So let everyone know

I hope everyone is working hard on their submissions. Please every once in a while please come on here just to let me

know your status on it. That way this topic will stay popular/ current and attract lots of attention. I have got some awesome gifts

for the winners and some are in value of over $100.00 . Also everyone that enters will receive a prize just for entering. Who knows

even if your submission isn't one of the top ones we may still use it in some way as planing and work goes into this event.

Also please have them in by Dec 2nd that is the deadline because I got to get everything worked out with the printers for the shirts which

I'm thinking of selling on the website to help raise money for the world wide event. I also need to get banners and other items made.

I'm trying to get sponsors so that I may be able to give all members a shirt for free. That's why I'm having more than one winner

I want to get shirts made up in more than one design which would be great for sales on the site to raise money for this historical

Can anyone tell me how their work is coming along? I promise you the winners prizes will be well
