Has Blue Finally Retired?

It is confirmed that Billie HAS been using the original Blue up until that concert

NOW..to get things straight about these replicas that everyone has been saying that Billie has been using. During the Warning era Billie did make a few copies of Blue because somehow Blue was broken and wanted to retire it. When Billie made his replicas he felt that it didn't have the same sound or feel the actual Blue had so he had Blue repaired.

So the Blue that we have been seeing on tour up until this point has been the original.

Just before I was watching a video from the 10th October 2010 and I noticed some thing about Blue. Its completely different to the one hes been using for the rest of the tour.

Here's 2 picture where you can compare them

1. If you look in the first image you can see the paint is all faded but in the 2nd one it looks new.

2. The neck on the second one looks brand new compared to the old one.

3. The the first picture has all stickers on it and marks from where he has taken some off, theres none of that in the 2nd picture/

4. His pick up is different. Recently he updated it to be black and white and now its just black

5. The BJ on the 2nd picture is A LOT different to the first one (might even be paint this time)

I wonder whats happened to the original? It might have broke or some thing.

He has a bunch of copies / replicas, as far as I know. He's probably just using one of those.

Its hard to tell if the other one was a replica or not because he was using that one for years. Also he hasn't used any other Blues this tour so why would he just start using that one.

Personally I like the old blue much better... This one almost looks fake I don't know blue has character and this new one just doesn't lol

He has so many replicas of blue, old and new ones. Some look legit, others not very much.

I really don't think anyone but Billie knows when he's using the real thing, if he does at all.

I don't blame him. I would not want to have my most valued possession with me everywhere I went and put it in harms way.

HAHA probably. I've heard about the replicas as well but the one hes been using all this tour still has 2 original stickers from the early 90's so whose to say he hasn't brought the original one and now changed it.

There's that many replicas and story's and different ones at shows its hard to tell which ones are replicas or not. I don't think I ever seen a picture of his using a "replica besides this one.

Yea and I've seen pictures of the new stickers. This one is complete different, this Blue looks band new and theres no marks of old stickers.

I think the one he has been using up to now is the original. The one he is using for this portion of the tour is definitely different, like you mentioned. Different stickers entirely and the finish isn't beat to hell like the one we're used to seeing.

I doubt anything happened to the original, though. Maybe he just wanted to use something different for a change, or didn't feel good about the security (or lack thereof) in some of their South American destinations.

It just seems strange that one point he is looking for new stickers and now hes just using a brand new one. They may have been the stickers people have brought him.

he uses blue replicas because the original blue is most likely in a fragile state... so i guess he doesnt want to break his treasured guitar that he's had over the years.

I'm pretty sure the one hes been using up until now was the original because if you look where all the sticker were in 1994 theres marks on the guitar now like they have been taken off. Also it has 2 original stickers from 1994 era that are still there.

I would figure, he doesnt want to risk the security of blue or taking the chance of losing it with luggage when traveling to South America yknow.

Yeah, I'm thinking that the Blue that he's been using has some stickers that either fans have given him or that he's added himself recently, so its definately not "the blue" that were used to seeing.
