XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 A new article has surface about Green Day's influence on the 1998 film "The Thin Red Line," a Word War II movie that is supposedly a really great film. The article talks about how Terrence Malick, the writer and director of the film was listening to Green Day while working in it, and how much it influenced him. It also touches upon how Green Day could have been responsible for actors such as Mickey Rourke and Bill Pullman being cut from the film. Anyway, the article can be read here - http://www.deathandtaxesmag.com/31143/this-week-in-advancement-terrence-malick-and-green-days-influence-on-the-thin-red-line/ Also, here's the Wikipedia page for "The Thin Red Line" if you're interested in seeing it - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Thin_Red_Line_%281998_film%29

GDM Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 I blogged about this on Saturday, along with some other stuff. I find it super interesting. This movie is pretty epic, as is Malick. I guess I should have put it here, but I figure most people here may be too young to remember the movie, lol. Sorry.

GDM Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 It's a depressing movie, by the way. Lots of historical references to World War II. Read up on it before you watch it!
Sanity Loan Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 The title could be a reference to the line in Geek Stink Breath that goes "And it sits on a thick white line "
GDM Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 The title could be a reference to the line in Geek Stink Breath that goes "And it sits on a thick white line " oooh... that's a good deduction, matt! did you happen to watch the movie, by chance?
