1039slappygirl Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 As all of you, when the 21st Century Breakdown was announced at the Grammy's almost 2 years ago, I got extremely excited about it. They mentioned they would start touring on July, 2009. So the anxious wait started, and it hasn't finished yet. Last year there was a rumour of them coming after the Asian leg of the tour, but obviously, it was all fake. Green Day hasn't come to Mexico since December of 2004 during their American Idiot tour. They are touring at South America right now and it seems that will be the end of all my little hopes, as of every Green Day fan in Mexico. We really want Green Day to visit our country, even if it's just one night, so we're asking for support to every GDC member that would care about this or is through a similar situation. If there's any way you think that can help us accomplish our goal, feel absolutely free to do it. All suggestions and all the help is more than welcome. Yes, we know the probabilities of them coming are really, really low, maybe definitive, but we believe it's much better to die trying than just sit there doing nothing. They already started working on the new record, Billie already tweeted the South American leg contains the last shows of the whole 21stCB touring cylcle and I highly doubt the petition will ever reach the band. I always hope they're hitting some countries they haven't been played for many years but if they dedice not to play there, we have to deal with it...

As I said before, we don't care if it's stupid or whatever to make this topics/petitions, at least we're trying, even though they might don't come and start working on the new album and everything. Then we'll deal with it, we're not going to kill anybody.

And the people who do have a say...well, they don't give a shit about online petitions. I'm gonna leave this thread open because I don't want to be the one to crush the very last of your hopes Second, Green Day hasn't played in many South American countries since 1998 (Argentina being one of them), so it could be worse. At least you had them during their last tour. And last but not least, this is an English speaking forum, so please stop talking in Español.

They came on summer 2001 for holidays in Santorini ( there is a photo of them on the green day greek fan club on facebook). I don't think petitions will bring them to your country. Now the tour is come to end so...

Well, sorry for talking in Español, I know is an English speaking forum but I didn't know that broke any rule. And thanks for not closing it, though. Good luck.
