Interesting. :sherlock:

Is it like a live album or just a bunch of studio tracks?

Not to be like, rain cloud or Captain Skeptical, but um, how do you know it's real?

EDIT: Oh, ok. I see, it came from a music magazine. That makes sense now.

i just found the notification - 'free with june18 issue of NME/not to be sold separately'. but still, i got it separately.

I'm pretty sure thats from a music magazine. Doesn't look that great, nothing new just some studio tracks from different bands you can find on one there albums.

it's pretty nice combination. some songs i've never heard before :ninja:

I have this, i got it with NME ages ago now, it's just a colab of songs from different punk bands, a lot of the tracks are from bands that have had some influance on green day etc/ just really awesome punk songs,

The tracks on it are amazing ( apart from mcr there just not my sorta thing )

thats pretty cool

I've got this somewhere as well. Came free with NME. Decent CD but not listened to it in ages so I just might dig it out now you've reminded me of it.

Posted

If I remember right it was a pick of songs chosen by the band when they were the main feature of that particular issue.

iv got tha CD. It came free with an issue of NME aaaaaages ago.

never really listened to it to be honest, it's just on the self with all other free cds you get with magazines.

Oh! I remember seeing this issue of NME advertised in the previous week's NME and being like "I'm gonna get that!" :woot: because it had loads of Green Day stuff in it. But then the next week when it came out I couldn't find a copy. I was so pissed off. Apparently so pissed off I still remember more than 5 years later

Yeah I saw that.

But the only sorta rock/punk music I like is Green Day so there was no point me buying it lol

Posted

That's pretty nice  Why did they have to put MCR first and Green Day last though, lol. Oh wait, Letterbomb is the last song, so maybe more people will remember it.. (: I love they chose Letterbomb, such an awesome song. (The best one off AI in my opinion.. after Homecoming/JOS that is)

Haha I'm sure I've seen/read everything that was in it by now. But back then I'd just discovered Green Day and had no internet so I was desperate for anything I could get :D

cool. well my favorite is definitely Alkaline Trio song Back To Hell

I think they should have a couple more songs from each artist but as it's from a magazine you can't expect too much but Letterbomb

Posted

Yeah I have that CD. They were on the cover of NME sometime around February 2005, it might be from that?

Posted

omg wish i had that magazine... it was 2005 - i just got to know them though. too much of a fresh green man, couldn't expect too much. at that time i even missed a show in my country... actually not too far from my house. just because i didn't know them well =/

Interesting...thanks for posting :) They got great songs on the tracklist!

Funny how Green Day are on the album cover and the CD...but their track is last :P

Posted

Interesting.

It certainly is a strange combination of bands there. All great in there own respect of course; just odd to see them all on the same cover.

some of the songs are really... weird to me lol. but still really good
