What if Green Day followed Weezer's example

Alright, so Weezer recently released a new album, "Hurley" (it's awful, but that won't be discussed here). For the first leg of their tour, they're doing something very interesting, and pretty awesome if you ask me.

It's called the "Memories" tour. In certain cities, the band plays 2 nights. The first night, they play their entire first album in its entirety. The 2nd, they play their entire 2nd album. (Both nights also include a "greatest hits" set).

So it got me thinking...what if Green Day did something like this? With Dookie and/or Insomniac? Or 1039 and/or Kerplunk? I'd like to hear what you all think

But anyways, it would be pretty awesome if Green Day did that with Dookie ... and Warning . It'd be awesome to hear both of those front to back. I wish I could hear Weezer play "Blue" front to back as well, that'd be awesome. Pinkerton...eh.

I think this would be very cool, but ONLY if they came to St. Louis.

They could play a different combination of albums at every city (Including one with all the B Sides/ rarities/ covers). I would just have to follow them until I heard every song live!

I'm still waiting for them to play Kerplunk in its entirety. I recall Billie saying that multiple times during interviews and I'm still waiting!

Coheed and Cambria played did a 4 city tour. Each city they spent 4 nights, each night playing through their full albums in chronological order. I always thought how sweet it would be to see Green Day do this. They're albums are so short they could get away with two a night. 1039/Kerplunk - Dookie/Insomniac - Nimrod/Warning - American Idiot/Breakdown. It's interesting how similar each of those albums are to each other.

Anyways, that would be pretty interesting for Green Day. They would get a lot of love with some of the "old-school" fans.

that would be really awesome. I'd love to hear Warning, Kerplunk, AI and 21st CB in their entirety. as well as Dookie, maybe.

But you know, for my first show (whenever that's gonna happen) I'd just love a 'traditional' set with the new stuff at the start, the old stuff in the middle and ending with minority and you know. everything else.

i want to see billie dying his hair blue, tre dying his hair green, and mike growing out his hair while playing dookie from track one to fourteen in a concert. it will put a smile on my face.

It's,in my opinion, hands down their best album. I'd recommend listening to it again.

Weezer fans are going to be so happy they are playing it this tour.

Psh what's this business about choosing? Obviously they just need to play all the albums cover to cover.
