I recently got accepted to be a SuicideGirl. Please refrain from the shit talking, I'm 100% aware and confident of my choice, thank you. Anyway, I need to shoot my first photoset, and I want the theme to be unique and something I'm passionate about. I'm considering a Green Day theme...like with the pictures corresponding with different Green Day songs. What do you guys think?

Basically, a SuicideGirl is a pin up, more centered around the punk, goth, alternative community. And they do pose nude, but USUALLY it's tastefully done. I caps usually because I have seen some that are trashy. I would be doing it tastefully. The entire set doesn't have to be nude, but some are required. Hope that answered your question.

Since there should be an obvious base setting and theme in a SG set, maybe you can artfully surround yourself with Green Day albums and memorabilia. You could toy with those throughout your set. Even your starting clothes could be Green Day themed (although that might be a bit overboard). Playing with your surroundings and props and playing off of them as you move through your set would be my suggestion.. Since a set usually has what 60 plus photos, you probably wouldn't want to force every picture to be something specific. It would seem too contrived. My advice would be to just let your set flow naturally around your environment. After all, 99 % of the people who view this set wouldn't even get specific references so instead of having a lot of direct inside references to Green Day in your set I'd say portray what Green Day and their music generally mean to you through your modeling and the tone of the set. That way it's more accessible to your audience. Even we on this board wouldn't be able to see it since you have to be a paying member of SG or another SG to view sets. I'm definitely envisioning this in one Green Day'd out room though. Is that caliber of Green Day junk in your possession or feasible for you to obtain? Whatever you do ultimately decide to do, good luck with your first set!

The only thing I don't have that I wish I did is a guitar that looks like Blue. I could do SOOO much with that. But I don't have one. I plan on sharing some of the pictures on here whether it gets accepted or not. I checked on all the copyright stuff and I'd be allowed to post a few photos on other websites like Facebook and such, I'm sure this ones okay. I just have to have the SG logo in the picture and permission from the photographer. My best friend is shooting the set, so I'm sure she'll be okay with sharing them on here.

I'd say just get a random electric guitar in anyways, sure it wont be Blue but it'll still be good to work with, I think. Ignore people who talk shit about being a SG or whatever, like you said you're living your dream while they more than likely are not! Good luck.
