plaid ducky Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 From Broadway.com: Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong will appear at post-show Q&A sessions for American Idiot September 14-17 and again on September 19. Armstrong will be joined on the St. James Theatre stage by Idiot director Michael Mayer, as well as members of the cast and creative team. Time Out New York's David Cote will moderate. "Whenever they’re in New York, [Green Day] drops in to see us," Idiot star John Gallagher Jr. told Broadway.com in June. "There are no words to describe how generous they’ve been. What we do every night couldn’t happen without what they’ve given us personally." Armstrong collaborated with Mayer to write the rock opera's book, which follows three disenchanted twentysomething men trying to find their way in a post 9/11 world. American Idiot currently stars Gallagher Jr. as Johnny, Michael Esper as Will, Stark Sands as Tunny, Rebecca Naomi Jones as Whatshername, Christina Sajous as The Extraordinary Girl, Mary Faber as Heather and Tony Vincent as St. Jimmy. Based on the popular Green Day album of the same name, the musical opened on April 20 at the St. James Theatre and won two Tony Awards. And if you have a student ID, you can see the show on those performances for $27. The seats are not blocked out so you can get Row A, center orchestra for $27 if you want.
Velocity Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Oh shit, I'm going to the performance on the 19th so I'm gonna be there! Except I wish I could have gotten tickets that awesome for that cheap, I paid $65 for mezz.

mallorymaloney Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Fuck. I won't be going until November, and there certainly won't be any meeting BillieMayerAndCast goodness involved ... Plus it'll probably stop showing before November rolls around and I won't end up seeing it at all. Woe ...
Hermione Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Nice! Fingers crossed they film and broadcast some of it.......there's like no chance of seeing any of it otherwise with the strictly enforced no photos/video policy these theatre shows have.
FiaKels Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 :woot: This made my week. Thank you plaid ducky for putting this up.
jetsrule128 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 sounds like the exact same thing as the times talk thing plus a show and it's cheaper
Izzard Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 ooo I hope their is a way for everyone to see it...will this be aired or taped at all?
Moffie Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 ooo I hope their is a way for everyone to see it...will this be aired or taped at all? Most of the talk-backs in theatre don't allow cameras. Maybe they'll tape one for MTV or something. Who knows?

Hopefully it will be posted to a web site for the company/people who are interviewing them.. if not i hope some one at least can get audio for it!

I don't think there's a company just..people who bought the ticket and probably producers/Michael and Billie. And again, they're kinda strict about stuff like that. Sorry to disappoint but that's reality of Theatre.

Is that not a company or what ever...like the people who are interviewing/asking questions/moderating it? Oh well I guess neither of us can know for sure until after!!! I'm still going to hope though!
