in_your_face Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 hold your breath and fasten your seat belts 'cause the American Idiot Musical Cast will appear on the Sept. 8 episode of "America's Got Talent," the NBC reality TV series!
Vrock09 Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 WTF? Well, I guess they had to find some way to get more viewers..
Abbey. Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 i hope ESPER is in it. he'd make me wanna lick my teevee.
plaid ducky Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 It's not the first time a Broadway has performed on it. "Rock of Ages" did a while ago. And yeah, it's to get them more exposure and more interest. Despite what some of y'all think, in terms of the musical, the show is keeping people employed so the more people go to it, the longer it might stay open.ETA: Yes, a majority of the cast, including Esper and Gallagher, are there. They'll tape tonight after the live show so that they'll be back in NY for their performance tomorrow.
†...HAUSHINKA...† Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 this is nothing compared to the GD appearance on american idol so <.<
RobyRoom Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 are they candids? or just perform? It's not an award, it's a Tv show.
in_your_face Posted September 7, 2010 Author Posted September 7, 2010 this is nothing compared to the GD appearance on american idol so <.< eh what? Green Day appeared on AMERICAN IDOL? are they candids? or just perform? well, it's a T.V show. i used to watch it daily. lucky us if they perform.
GDM Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Employment is a great thing for actors! And it's a great thing that they are fighting to keep the show alive. Bravo to them for it, I won't be able to watch on 9/8 because I'm still in San Fran and will be busy then, but it's cool that they are doing this, mostly.
warding_off_regrets Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 eh what? Green Day appeared on AMERICAN IDOL? Yup! In 2007, I think. They performed Working Class Hero. I'm so glad they're doing these promotional gigs and trying to keep this thing going. The musical makes me happy. ^_^
Katarina. Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Hmmm.. ok. Nice I guess. I don't see why they had to choose America's got talent for that. I'd rather see them not doing performances like this, and instead coming to London so that more people from Europe can actually see the musical. Yeah.
JadedHaushinka Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 I agree with Katarina. Why not to perform somewhere else rather than the USA? But.. let them have fun, then.
Smoothed Out Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Hmm that's cool Wasn't too sure at first, but why not?
plaid ducky Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Because they had shows on Saturday and they have a show on Wednesday? I know that you guys out of the US want to see them live but logically, it can't be done with their schedules. Heck, these were suppose to be their days off. If they have more interest in the US, then there's a better chance for them going international. Just saying.
blitzkriegdeb Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Hmm. Perhaps I'll watch this if I remember it's on and if I'm not in the process of sleeping. America's Got Talent seems like an odd choice for a show though.
gdpony Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 haha, great, I'll make sure I dont forget to watch it
Anko Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Yup! In 2007, I think. They performed Working Class Hero. Well tbh they weren't live, they had to tape their performance so they could censor it
Katherine Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Meh, I never got into that show, but I'll DVR their performance. Good for them for promoting the musical.
AfterShock Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 I'll wait for a vid to pop up somewhere, it's not worth it to watch that show just to see the cast
