Guest Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Soooooo...I went to the Green Day concert in Toronto on on August 18th with my aunt and I met my friend there who was also with her friend, and her friends mom, we all had lawn seats so she waited for 4 hours, was first in line and let us but in with her, so we were front row but sooooo far away cuz it was the lawn. So im sitting on the grass with my aunt and we start laughing because there is this guy wearing all black with a black leather vest covered in tattoos and he has a black hat on and black sunglasses, then he comes and sits beside us. He was like "Hey" and my aunt was like "Hi", he says i feel like im being creepy but Im with the band and I was wondering if you were all together(refferring to me, my aunt, my friends and her mom because we all had matching shirts) so we were like yeah. Then he opens his vest and in the inside pocket he has purple wrist bands, he says I have these wrist bands I want to give to you guys for the mosh pit and you look like u deserve them. I was like well are u really with the band? Are u legitimate? and was like oh yeah, I was like okay well where did u get the tickets and he was like Doug, Im like who is Doug, he was like he helps with the drums, were partners; the bands managers, so my aunt was like how much? he was like free take them I want to give them to you, take them i'll leave and it will be like u never met me. So I get my friend and then this stupid lady ive never met b4 started asking the guy all these questions then said NO THANKS!!!! WTF LADY???!!!! so he walked away and never came back (even though he said he would come back) then the lady was coming up with all these stories and crazy stuff tht she thinks the guy was up to. So I said okay lady hang on, so I called the security guard and told them what happened but then I was telling the security how i saw the guy who wanted to give me the tickets go inside the door under the stage and the security goes, oh u have to be part of the band or with the band to have access into those doors, SO IN THE END GREEN DAYS MAGAGER ASKED ME IF I WANTED FREE TICKETS AND THIS STUPID LADY IVE NEVER MET B4 SAID NOOOO!!!!! :'( she was like i dont feel comfortable with him he looked wierd? she goes I think it was some form of child pornography???!!! she was fucked up and I was pissed off and I still am... Why didn't he say "ok lady you don't want them, I'll defo give them to the girls" And why didn't you go after him? It doesn't make sense. And yes I've heard stories with gigs about men trying to lure women and young girls by trying to bribe them with backstage passes. I would have been suspicious as well tbh.

Couldn't you just talk to GD's manager, explain it again and say you do want the tickets? That woman has nothing to do with you anyway, right?

It could have possibly been a fake, and he could have not been part of the band. She probably did it to be on the safe side.

Yeah idk, he looked familiar, he did go backstage, thats when I was talking to the security and they said that no one is allowed back there (it was a door beside the stage he went in) unless theyre with the band, and then the security said that sometimes theyll try to get more people in the pit by giving away wrist bands so i still dont know :\

I'm family friends with Franz Ferdinand's manager and he gave me and my family some tickets, even though most of us had them, but they came with the VIP Riser access. Since we wanted to stay on the floor we attempted to give the wrist bands to random people, the first few people were sketched out and didn't believe me. I finally found a couple able to take a chance.... I hope they made out up there during LNOE!

And he was also at the after party having a beer with some sort of mic pack attached to the back of his belt, so unfortunately, it sounds like he was legit. You need to go and post that woman's dox all over 4Chan as revenge. Stat.
