djrossstar Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 It has been confirmed on this board that only 1% of you got pit tickets for Irvine, CA on Tuesday. I have seen over 50 tickets being sold on ticket scalping sites for up to $600. This leads me to believe that the 100 person pit might be emptier than expected, unless you are all rich and can afford $600. My question is: During this tour, has BJA demanded that people from the seats come down into the pit? I have only had seats for Green Day twice (out of 41 shows), and both times Billie Joe demanded we get down there, and I was able run past security. Just wanted to know because I have Orchestra Row Q which isn't bad, but I just CAN'T watch GD in a seat! DJ Rossstar
nicicky Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I saw them in Boston last week and he did, but he said "only a few, that'll do" after a few seconds, so I'm not really sure how many people actually made it in.
ifmemoryserves Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 You've been to 41 shows... ;~; lol my thoughts exactly
mallorymaloney Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 You've been to 41 shows... ;~; IA. Dude, being in a seat this one time won't kill you.
Isabel Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 In Dublin he let loads of people into the pit. He said it twice, actually.
djrossstar Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 Perfect. And YES 41 shows. I am also 28 years old & have seen them every tour since 1994.
Fuzz Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Be glad you're seeing a show at all I'm not sure how many times i've seen Green Day, 4 maybe 5? At this point, I'd be content if I had a seat, it doesn't really matter to me.
Katherine Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 He has told people to go to the pit this tour when it seemed a little empty. And if you can't get in the pit, I'm sure you can deal with it.
-Billiejoezee- Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I'm seeing green day in irvine. No pit. Hopefully he tells us to get down.
Martyn Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 In Dublin he let loads of people into the pit. He said it twice, actually. "there's only about 50 people here" if that's actually the same for your show i'm sure he'll do likewise...
QuiteCrazy Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 holy crap! that's a lot of shows! 41 in 16 years... i envy you greatly... and i'm sure there's a good chance of you being able to make a run for the pit you lucky dog. i was at the boston show and didn't get a chance because its not like i have super speed or anything. i had seats and they were good... but i guess i'd think less of them if it hadn't been my first GD show and i'd had the it before. i was rather envious of all those lucky dogs in the pit who were so close to the stage... and the band... lucky dogs...
Isabel Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 "there's only about 50 people here" if that's actually the same for your show i'm sure he'll do likewise... And remember he also said it again during East Jesus Nowhere? He said something like "Eddie, can we let a few more people in here?" but it was from the other side
Laura! Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I've been them twice and both times I've had seats, it wasn't bad at all! On Monday he told us to go out into the aisles and run down towards the front. But the aisle I was in security wasn't letting us go past a certain point.
djrossstar Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 I need to be upfront because I always yell out the rare songs, and most of the time he plays them. Did Tight Wad Hill for me last year. Great video LOL. See you Tuesday!

Great video LOL. See you Tuesday! You seriously can't do that again without me! Mike laughed at my Tight Wad Hill sign in Dublin and Billie Joe dismissed it in Mainz...as much as I love that video from LA last year, I NEED to be there when they play it again!!
Kitteh Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 This is kinda off topic, but I remember watching an episode of you're show a few years ago. I knew your name was familiar. *awkwardddd*
djrossstar Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 Thanks! I am on live tonight on djrossstar.thepunkrockshow.com. Starts at 7pm PT. I will play some rare GD stuff for you all if you watch it! You can also see me on GD Storytellers, MTV First Listen: Green Day & Fuse Daily Download With Green Day
GDM Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I've been to four shows so far from this round of the amphitheater tour. Camden and Hartford had big pits and he didn't really say anything about coming down, just getting closer. In Montreal, it didn't matter, it was all GA. In Holmdel, he did ask people to come down into the pit, but I was in the 300 section and just decided to stay up there. I know Chickenman and a few other people were able to get down there for the majority of the show. Holmdel was more traditional amphitheater seating, there was a large area between the first row of seats and the stage. So that area became the pit. I'm not going to Irvine, but I am going to Shoreline. I have row L or something, section 103. I am going into the pit for this show, no matter what. Good luck. You can do it, and he will ask.
djrossstar Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 Thanks! Row Q is only 17 rows back! And no more TWH. This time it's going to be ANDROID!
Kitteh Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Also. Oh my, a 100 man Green Day pit would be absolutely amazing. But I know all 99 other people would be 2ft taller than me, shielding my view anyways. ._.

lizziebix Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Rage against the machine has a song called know your enemy Did you mean to post that comment in this thread?
TAG Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 He told people at a few shows to come on down into the pit, especially in Buffalo. There was like, no joke, MAYBE 200 people in the pit. You could've laid on the floor and no one would've stepped on you!
unabrasiveadhesive Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Did you mean to post that comment in this thread? Lol no I though this was the gd reference thread. I'm so retarded
