Whatsername321 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Does anyone else think it would be cool for foxboro hottubs to open for green day? im not sure they would though, it would be alot of work for them but maybe another FBHT tour?
Moffie Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I don't think Billie could sober up that quickly.
Mrs. Nobody Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 ^ win The tubbies are more of a small venue band. Personally I wouldn't want them to open, but they've done it before in Manc once, I can't remember how that went down
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Another Tubbies tour sounds great, but I don't think it would work (as well) if they opened up for Green Day. FHT just doesn't seem like an arena/stadium band. Of course I've never seen them live (), but I think it just works better and is a better experience in small venues. I know they played a couple of songs somewhat as an opener once, but I think it's just not the same. It would be awesome if they did it anyway, though. But I'd rather have a tour. I don't think Billie could sober up that quickly. That too
Guest Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 They did at the MEN, only 3 songs like. Half the people around me didn't know who the fuck they were
Armageddon Flame. Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 No. Even though the results will cause Green Days show to be hilariously awfull
Ellenkc Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Nah. It wouldn't be the same when they're sober, plus that means they'd be playing about 4 hours every night, it'd only wear them out
Are We The Waiting? Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 yeah sick idea. i agree. FBHT should SO open for green day. you know what? they should play TOGETHER! that would be AMAZING! like when U2 and green day played together! that would be great! :D *sarcasm* lol, i hope you aren't serious about this whatsername321.

Woah dude, no need to act all dickish about it. Dunno if that was your intention but it comes over like it.
JadedHaushinka Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I think the best would be if the Tubbies gave a concert after the Green Day one. If I'm right, they did it last year in London and maybe somewhere else, too.
blitzkriegdeb Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I'm sure having to open a show and then play a show would be rather tiring.
kelly42fox Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Part of the charm and appeal of the FBHT is that they play small venues and are more rowdy... They can get away with it because of the setting; they play to a mature audience. One of the only benefits of not being a teen anymore. The Hot Tubs really wouldn't work in an arena.

Also, even though i've never seen them live, I feel their set would be better on a smaller stage, just from the videos i've seen.

Eighty. Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Would be awesome but they get tired as the rest of the persons

I just can't see the Tubbies playing to a crowd of thousands
GDM Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 After seeing the fbht twice in nyc, I don't think I'd want to see them in a venue larger than 500 people. And even that's stretching it. They belong in a smaller space, I think, or maybe at the biggest some place like the Bowery Ballroom, maybe Webster Hall, but any bigger than that, it wouldn't be FBHT. Green day is too big for them, in a way. I remember watching that video from Manchester last year and thinking, wow, that stadium is too big for them! And then when the Islington footage happened, I was like, yea, that's more like it. Having experienced it first hand, I'd say, nope, they should never open for Green Day...
keefe Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I think Green Day should open up for the Foxboro Hot Tubs, bad idea? But in a ll seriousness, Foxboro Hot Tubs should do a North American bar tour, and only send out messages to GDC and GDA members as to where they're playing!
