GDM Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Sorry if this shouldn't be a thread, but I just thought everyone would want to see it, so I didn't put it in the Lolla thread. According to the Live Webcast Guide at the Lollapalooza site, Green Day will perform four songs on Sunday at 8:30 Central. 10:00PM Central. (Time has changed, Erykah Badu will be on at 9:30 for four songs before Green Day) Webcast site here I don't know if this will be live since they play Lolla on Saturday and the schedule for the webcast says they are on the Webcast on Sunday.
Hermione Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Cool! Ahh, I just checked the page and saw "broadcast available in the US only" . So, who's going to record this?
GDM Posted August 7, 2010 Author Posted August 7, 2010 Cool! Ahh, I just checked the page and saw "broadcast available in the US only" . So, who's going to record this? Yea, I have the feeling it's the same as PinkPop, where we couldn't see it over here. But I don't think they did Green Day livestream at Pinkpop? I can't remember. Within the Netherlands only, maybe?
Hermione Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Yea, I have the feeling it's the same as PinkPop, where we couldn't see it over here. But I don't think they did Green Day livestream at Pinkpop? I can't remember. Within the Netherlands only, maybe? Yeah I couldn't see it either, being in the UK where we can never see ANYTHING . But yeah I don't think they showed it live in the end, didn't they just show the crowd or something? This sounds more like it's gonna be pre-recorded on the Saturday to me so I suppose we can just sit back and wait to watch it on Sunday without having to worry that it won't get shown.
GreenDayisAmazing Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 my computer is to slow to watch right now
Salmonator. Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I read somewhere they were streaming this on Saturday... Edit: It does say Sunday on the Lollapalooza site, that's weird. I saw on MTV that they were streaming it Saturday. I guess it's better to go with what Lollapalooza says.
Katarina. Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Yea, I have the feeling it's the same as PinkPop, where we couldn't see it over here. But I don't think they did Green Day livestream at Pinkpop? I can't remember. Within the Netherlands only, maybe? No, I believe it was Green Day's management or whatever it's called, who told Pinkpop not to air the show live. So at first it would've been available for everyone to see, but then in the end nobody could, and instead they showed recordings of like 4 songs on tv.. Too bad this is US only! Let's hope someone records it.
Moffie Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I've been passing out at random times this week but if I'm awake at that time, I'll watch it. Thanks! Too bad they're only showing 4 songs. Better than nothing. They're also showing on some AOL thingy, too but it's the exact same thing.
petros Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Now I wonder what songs they are going to play... I hope somebody records it

AGAINST ME! is on the feed from Lolla right now, and they are rocking it!Against Me! just went off. Gogol Bordello is up next. Social Distortion later today!
RobyRoom Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I don't understand. Is the streaming linked in the OP really a streaming or it's something recorded? Sorry the dumb question

Moffie Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 10am EST? That means it'll be around 4pm here I guess, so I can watch it too! Yay No, it looks like 10 PM. But I'm not sure because the 'schedule' doesn't say 'AM' or 'PM.'
Tubbie Head Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Ohh that's really cool! EDit: I thought I was seeing a live thing but no The live stream is not available for non- US people

Katarina. Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 No, it looks like 10 PM. But I'm not sure because the 'schedule' doesn't say 'AM' or 'PM.' Now that I think of it.. It's most likely PM. I forgot only US residents can watch this though, so nevermind
Tubbie Head Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 anyway anyone could rip it for us poor non americans? I second that
Moffie Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 If someone can tell me how to rip streaming video, I'll happily do it.
