Last night, I was waiting for the megabus in Philly at 1am in the amtrack station, i was trying so hard not to sleep, then I saw someone who looked like they were my age with a green day shirt and poster from the Camden show, I decided to chat with her , it turns out she came from the Ukraine to go to the show, she had only been in the us for about a month and is leaving in august. She told me how green day never once played in the Ukraine in their 22 years of existince and it was the first time she got to see them. She also told me they aren't huge in the Ukraine like everywhere else and if they did an ampatheater tour in the Ukraine it wouldn't sell out. It was amazing, we exchanged emails! I'm not saying anything right now but anything is possible so Ukraine eastern Europe....it'll happen soon enough!

That's pretty far to go to see a band, haha! It sucks though that it sometimes is necessary, for countries like that... It would be cool if Green Day did an eastern Europe tour or something. But I guess they aren't doing that because exactly like she said, they probably wouldn't sell out, apparently. Same goes for some other regions in the world.

Great for her she finally got to see them :)

Wow thats along way to travel!!! That's pretty awesome that she finally got to see Green Day!!! It's also pretty cool that you met her. Atleast someone from Ukraine is supporting Green Day!!! Does she ever go on Green Day Community???

So cool! Really great that she got to see them, I'm sure it was worth the trip :D

Question is, why does she go to America to see them, Poland is next to the Ukraine and they played a show there. :sherlock:

She was probably on a vacation there and saw green day too. Not gone there just cause of them

I felt I had a long trip when I went from Norway to NYC to see the musical, this is even further

Wow, that's great! One great hardcore fan really, I appreciate that. But yeah, it's sad that they don't reach countries like Ukraine etc., but that's not band's fault. Hopefully they're having a gig over there on their next tour! :)

Wow that is along way!!! I couldn't even travel from AZ to NY to see it I would have loved to, but I don't have the money to go to NY.

Well, Green Day didn't play in Poland neither this nor last year. :/

But that's amazing that this Ukrainian fan got a chance to see them in the USA. I'm really happy for that person. I hope they'll do an Eastern Europe tour someday even if it didn't sell out.

Oh, yes, I mixed it up, thought Prague was in Poland. :pinch: I'm not that good in geography :D

Awh, that's lovely

I think it's cool to travel to other countries to see bands play, even though people I know think it's crazy

Aww, good for her :) I know how it is travelling so far to see them (even though, I didn't really need to.. BUT WANTED TO!)

I'm glad to hear she finally got to see them!

No Belinda, we NEEDED to. ;)

But yeah, stories like this warm my heart - the more crazy GD fans out there willing to travel stupid distances for the band the better I say :) And everyone deserves to see GD at least once in their lifetime.

oh that's so cool. if i had money to do that i would do that immediately.. 'cause i know they're never coming to slovenia, they could at least visit zagreb, croatia but it's hardly gonna happen

My respect for that girl :o Mexico is next to the US and I haven't ever seen them live (the last time they came I was 11 and didn't like Green Day that much yet), so yeah, maybe that's what I'll end up doing... I need my passport and VISA now

I'm so gonna do the same thing when I'm 18 :P

I mean, it really sucks when you can't see your favourite band because of distance and of course money (or specifically the lack of it).

I would do anything to see them just once live and my life would be complete. I will be beyond happy if they come to Bulgaria or at least Greece or something, but if they don't, well then, I'm getting my shit together and I'm going to them. They are not super popular here but they do have quite a lot of fans who would die to go to their concert.

So one day.. one day :)
