Green Day Mash Up

For a while now I've wanted to do a mash-up of Green Day songs centered around "Coming Clean" that could feel like some form of a cohesive story. I've got a little bit of it worked out lyrically and vocally, but my problem is that I'm crippled when it comes to playing the instruments required to make this idea come to fruition. I was mainly wondering if anybody was interested in playing acoustic guitar and co-"writing" this mash-up with me. If you think it sounds like a fun idea, post in the thread or PM me and we can talk about what I've already got done and where I'm heading with this idea.

Well if you check out the collab video thread, we are doing a video based on a 9 minute long medley of many Green Day songs. Not sure if thats exactly what you're looking for (Coming Clean isn't one of the songs) but its still very good!

^ The collab videos are based in lip-syncing, right? I wanted to sing the mash-up me and whoever else created and have them play an acoustic version of it.

If anyone wants to help with writing and/or scoring the arrangement that's also appreciated.

Also, anyone with Garage Band will be needed once its recorded because I don't have any "producing" software.

Tomorrow after I come home from work I'll type out what I've got so far. I may actually record myself singing it so you can get an idea of how it flows and where to change from song to song, etc.

Yup. For the beginning, I thought you could just play each chord in Basket Case once and let it ring while I'm singing those few lines... Later on, I'll sing what I've got in my head and maybe you could play what you're thinking and we can work on it.

EDIT: Also, if anyone else has any ideas on how to flesh out the song, let me know!

I'm not sure I'm explaining myself, but, for example, during the "No mom and dad will never understand that I've got something on my mind. " I would put the coming clean part in a more quiet way and add the F.O.D. guitar louder.

That sounds really cool. Right now I'm working on updating the lyrics to include parts of Welcome to Paradise as well to possibly make to story turn a bit more angsty than whiny the whole time. It would make the ending make more sense as well.

lol, I wanted to record today, but I couldn't get both the computer and the guitar in the second floor, where I keep the electric stuff. I already know how to do it, though xD
