This is such a good idea for a thread. I'd like to know it as well! Unfortunately I haven't been on stage.

EDIT: Not that relevant, but why does it say pretty much everywhere the show on May 29th, 2010 was in Langraa? It's Landgraaf, lol.

"Sorry, you do not have permission to see this note."

Good idea btw, I've been wondering this.

I didn't get to go up on stage but I'll check it out anyway :)

That's not counting the amount of GDCers though.

Farshad got up for Longview in Dublin in '09 and Gráinne got up for it in 2010.

I'll PM them. :)

also with the concert list, after Brisbane 8th December 2009, there was one at the same venue on the 9th so you can add that in

Now the fb link is gone and it's in this thread... we have to post it in this thread now?

Green Day were touring way back in 1009? I admire their commitment.

Here's what I posted in the facebook thread:

Show: Aug 25, 2009 Los Angeles, The Forum

Song: Brain Stew/Jaded interlude

GDC username: J'net

Billie invited me up to spray the Super Soaker.

Best part: Arturo made everyone move back from the rail so he could put me back in my spot!!! Okay, maybe this was second best after hugging Billie. I love hugs!!! But the hug only lasted a moment - the spot on the rail was there for the rest of the show!

Sequel: The girl who had thrown bunny ears to Billie (that he later put on me) posted on a youtube video of me about how sad she was to lose them. I was able to get her address and send the bunny ears back to her <feel good moment!>.

Extra special bonus: Diane (punkinhead) sent me an incredibly beautiful limited edition poster from this show that I will treasure forever ♥.

See my sig for a pic :).

J'net you are seriously lucky XD

Oct. 09, 2009 Copenhagen, Denmark Forum.

Are We the Waiting.

It was my first Green Day concert. I was abroad studying for 4 months, so I bought the ticket to the concert that was closer to me: the beautiful Copenhagen.

I got at the venue at 8 am and met amazing people queuing there. Lovely day.

I had made a sign saying "Hey Tré! I come from Portugal. Please give me a drumstick! :) " when we got inside the venue, we got on Jason White's side of the catwalk, on the barrier. It was an amazing happy feeling to see my favourite band for the first time ever, playing there, right in front of my eyes and ears. I was freaking the fuck out since they got on stage and singing (shouting) louder than I've ever sung before.

I avoided any videos/setlists/reviews since they started touring in 2009, because I wanted the whole thing to be a surprise.

During "Are We The Waiting", it was clear that Billie Joe was looking for someone to get on stage. I didn't even think of the possibility of that someone being me. Then he comes my way, takes a quick look at my sign, then goes to the other side of the catwalk, then comes back to my side, looks into my eyes, points at me and from that moment on my head, heart and body became as light as a feather. I couldn't believe it. I shouted "Me? ME?" and kept looking to the sides, convinced that he was calling any of the (much better looking) girls next to me. But it was me, he kept pointing and shouted "Come on!"

Then this gigantic security guy pulls me out and puts me onstage. I get up there and hug Billie with all the strenght in my body, close my eyes and say "Thank you" to his right ear. Then, I remembered I had my camera with me, so I tried to snap us a picture. Billie didn't let me. He took the camera from me (I had a Portugal scarf tied abound my wrist, so Billie struggled for a while to take the camera from me  ) and he took us the picture!!! Then he put my right arm up in the air and we sung, and he put the mic next to me so I could sing "Are we we are, are we we are the waiting...". I never let him go and neither did he. (We were so close together that I was afraid to step on him so I didn't move my feet much.) I snapped another picture from the side, and then the song was almost ending, he looked at me, still with his arm around me, I said "I love you" and he gave me the most hsweet, sincere and beautiful smile I've ever seen. He then ran across the catwalk and St. Jimmy started. Security rushed me to come down, and so I did, but they didn't let me return to my spot, so I had to grab my stuff and run through the area between the stage and the barriers, ending up in the middle of the venue.

Here's a great video that my friend Claudia filmed:

These were the best and most surreal 30 seconds of my life.

Green Day has brought so much into my life for the last 6 years, and I'm forever thankful to them. They got me through tough university years, they cheered me up when I was lonely and sad, and laughed and partied with me when I was happy. They brought AMAZING friends into my life, which I would never have met if it wasn't for them. They have made my life better. Thank you, Green Day.

Gig: Kyläsaari, Helsinki /Finland - 8.6.2010

Username: sampy

Song: Know Your Enemy

After the guitar solo there comes a part when Billie searches a person to get up on stage. He walked to catwalk (my place was on Jason White's side, next to catwalk on the barrier), looked at me, went other side of catwalk, pointed someone else, but then came back to me, looked two guys next to me but after that he looked at me straight into my eyes and pointed me and showed "GET UP HERE!". Then seurity guards pulled me over the barrier and up to the stage. I was like wtf this can't be true. But when I got up to the stage, I wasn't scared at all, and maybe you can see it from video. Billie kissed me and took me to the catwalk and let me sing with him, I did the whole "gimme gimme revolution"-part :) it was unbelieavable, in front of 26 000 people! Then he smiled and looked at me and said: "STAGE DIVE!" in my ear, I was like hell-fucking-yea! Then I waited his sign, and when he gave it, I jumped. It really was greatest day and moment of my life :)

Here's a video of my singing part and stage dive:

This is better view of stage dive:

There's already 12 GDCers voted "yes" in this poll ! :) Hopefully we get a shitload of new GDC stage visitors on next month!

Show: May 29th, Pinkpop (which is in Landgraaf by the way, not Landgraa :))

Song: Longview

I got to sing/murder the song up until and including the "I got no motivation part".

And Billie read the other side of my sign, which said "Oh baby baby it's fuck time", outloud in the mic. ^^
