Sanity Loan Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Green Day's cover of "I Fought the Law" is going to be included on a compilation album which set to be released at the end of July. It will be Billie Joe's vocals with "Cuban style" music in the background. The album is being put out by APE (Arists Project Earth), which is an organization that supports families affected by natural disasters. They have put out two previous albums titled "Rhythms del Mundo" which fuses popular Cuban musicians with artists from the US and UK. They take the original vocals of songs and then add their background music to give it a "Cuban" feeling. They have worked with Coldplay, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, U2, Arctic Monkeys, and many other artists. Search Rhythm del Mundo on iTunes and you can hear some of their songs According to Latercera.com, the release date is set for July 26th. It will be very interesting to hear that "Cuban style" version of "I Fought the Law" when the album is available. The full song-list can be viewed by clicking here. Thanks to St. Jimmy98 Edit: A clip of the song can be heard by clicking here
