Hermione Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Omg how dare you insult that line! It's tongue in cheek And you can always listen to Road to Acceptance for "we're all the same" 2 Quote

DeJennsitized Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 I like 'we're all the same' simply because it would be easier to enunciate - I didn't realize that he was singing 'outlaws' for a good while after first hearing the song. Outlaws makes more sense though to be fair. He is specifically talking about how setting fires etc is not meant for him, therefore...we are not all the same. Another lyric I realized I'd always misheard is "I can see through you cause you're wearing thin" in Haha You're Dead....I always heard "I can still do you" (meaning I can still kick your ass, not the other thing, lmao) 1 Quote
St. Jonny Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 The Outlaws line is wicked!! I was so happy years back when I read the lyrics and figured out that's what he was saying there. Before I also used to hear "this is a lies on Holidaaaaaaayyyy!!!" which obviously wouldn't make sense. Lives on holiday is a good line. Quote

The way it's written in the lyric book is so epic too 1 Quote

Popular Post Montclare Posted March 12, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 12, 2017 (edited) Okay, just discovered I've been singing She wrong for 23 years. I thought "Are you feeling like a social tool without a use" was "are you feeling like a sex show doll without a use". Mind blown. Edited March 12, 2017 by Montclare 6 Quote

americanidiot5998 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 The first time I heard Saint Jimmy, I thought Billie said the N-Word instead of Edgar, as in Edgar Allen Poe As soon as I thought he said that I was like "No way he said that, I must've miss heard it." Turned out I did and I'm relieved so. Quote
so-unholy Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 I've never really looked through this thread before, it's my new favorite For way too many years I was singing, "welcome to a new kind of tension, all across the idiot nation" - only recently realized it's "alien nation" and I'm so ashamed. 2 Quote

whatsername888 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Just realised I've been singing Welcome to Paradise wrong all these years.... instead of 'pay attention to the cracked streets and the broken homes' I've been singing 'pay attention to the backstreets and the broken hoes' lmao 3 Quote

Forever Now Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 In Basket Case I still hear "Am I just paranoid how much I suck" I actually prefer to hear it that way as I find it to be more relatable. Quote

Popular Post unextraordinarygirl Posted March 17, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2017 I have to admit that there are still songs I don't understand the lyrics too. Even though I've listened to them hundreds of times and even looked up the lyrics. But when I listen without the lyrics in front of me I still can't make sense of it or remember what they are supposed to be. 6 Quote

When trying to look up the lyrics I get different versions every single time. Quote
