unexplainedbacon Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Okay, I couldn't find this thread so I'll give it a shot...o.o If green day were playing at the end of the world and you were at their concert, what last song would you want them to play before we all die?? lol...cheerful topic...
Comedy & Tragedy Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Last Night on Earth would be....fitting. But Homecoming or Jesus of Suburbia would be just
Homicidal_llama Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Jesus of Suburbia! Might as well prolong our deaths... It would be cool to sing 'I Don't Care' as well just before that point. /morbid topic
Trotsky Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Misery, with accordions and all. Are there accordions in that song? I don't actually know. But if not, add them.
Penguin Puffball Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 The Static Age, because I'd want to die listening to my favorite song for the last time.
Joy of suburbia. Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Homecoming. I don't know why...it just seems like that will fit.
Katarina. Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Homecoming. Either that one, Letterbomb, or Waiting.
Clayish Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Letterbomb by far. It's the best song they have made.
unexplainedbacon Posted June 15, 2010 Author Posted June 15, 2010 ...christians inferno...but that's for the dark humour types...
Velocity Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Homecoming! Homecoming. I don't know why...it just seems like that will fit. I agree. And we can put off the end of the word for a few extra minutes. Besides, all 3 members have a singing part in the song, so we can hear all of them sing one last time.
Lu_S Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Horseshoes and Handgrenades, because it's one of my favorite.
Kayfabe Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Homecoming. I would cry, so no. I'd ask for See The Light. Or like, K4AD Homecoming... Best song ever, hands down! this
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Ha Ha You're Dead. But seriously...for myself, I'd want Wake Me Up When September Ends. I love that song to death (hah. literal meaning not intended, but it does fit) and I would want that to be the last song I hear... But there are so many songs that would fit. Last Night On Earth would be a good suggestion, but that's a tad "....well yeah" for everyone who doesn't have a lover, to put it that way. JOS or Homecoming just because they're long. Good Riddance for fairly obvious reasons, I guess. One of My Lies. Will we finally find out why life is so small, yet death is forever, and whether forever has a life to call its own. There are just so many songs that would fit one way or another. I actually sort of like to think about that.... like, not about the world ending, but about what songs could go with that (Green Day or not...Green Day just happens to be my main source of songs I put effort in to thoroughly understand xD) When it's Time Fitting title for a moment like that.

I wouldn't want them to ask you, it would be the end of the world by the time you decide! But seriously, good post I don't think I'd be able to handle a sentimental song, I'd want something powerful that makes the whole room go crazy and not just hugging and crying.
Alan86 Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 The simpsons theme song But honestly probally something like FOD or Burnout
Ellenkc Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 St Jimmy. I would really hate my last few minutes to be long and emotional. Short and crazy would be perfect for me. Plus the last thingyou'd ever hear would be Billie shouting ,'And don't you fucking wear it out!' Or East Jesus Nowhere, just to piss off the possible man upstairs before you go.
gdpony Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 I would like JOS or homecoming, something powerful and energetic, not something sad. or King for a day

But seriously, good post I don't think I'd be able to handle a sentimental song, I'd want something powerful that makes the whole room go crazy and not just hugging and crying. Oh but my decision would be made in a split second; Wake Me Up When September Ends. I was just pondering other songs that would also fit (although September also fits pretty well. I just like thinking about things like that). And thanks Going on with that, Whatsername. That sounds good too, actually. Leave the world with a bang. Too Much Too Soon comes to mind first, but even though that's an awesome song, I guess that's still too.....idk, the lyrics fit too well with leaving the world. I liked St. Jimmy for a suggestion. Or Jaded. Even though that song really has nothing to do with the end of the world whatsoever, it's such a kick-ass song to go completely crazy to.
Ingrid Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Viva la Gloria! definitely. I don't care if it fits or not, I just wanna hear it. There's a good chance I would die happy then. (as much as I would be crying)
