Fuzz Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 As we've mentioned during the shows, it's a work in progress and we'd love to hear your feedback on what we could do to make the show better. What would make it more enjoyable for you guys? If you say "get rid of the hosts" I swear to god I'll murder your favorite pet. So yeah, use this thread to share some ideas or suggestions. We'd love to hear whatever you have to add.
captain peroxide Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Get rid of that Alex kid. What a moron, seriously. (I dislike my dog. Take the hint.)
Trina Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I'm not sure if this is going to make sense, but I feel like it's awesome for GDC but not so much for GDA? The way it's a very chatty, informal style is great to listen to but probably only if you sorta know of the people talking or are a part of this forum. I dunno, it's just a thought.. (They should just join gdc anyways. ) Besides, we don't want it too formal or "on-topic"! Also random but Alex reminds me of my cousin's boyfriend sooo much. It's actually scary. xD You look alike, you sound similar and you seem to be a lot like him.
Katarina. Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Maybe you could put more intro parts like the intro of the Podcast between different news?, something like a little audio part that says "The next topic" or "Up next" or "Green Day rockband", whatever it could be. I just think it would make the podcast even greater Sorry if you don't understand what I mean. xD
Neon Light Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I'd love to hear more actual music related discussion. Maybe you could discuss a particular album or even a few songs. Comparing albums (such and AI and 21CB) would also be a good idea.
bollard_11 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I loved the first podcast An idea just crazy suggestion but once in a while maybe feature a cover song performed by a member of the community in the podcast? Opinions?
captain peroxide Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I'm liking all these ideas so far Katarina, I'd definitely thought about having more of those audio breaks in there somewhere. It would divide it up more. That's probably something I'll do starting with the next episode, unless Andres hates the idea Greg, that's probably something we'll get around to in future episodes, whether we start talking about it by accident or if it actually becomes part of the show. We have a lot of options as to where to go with this. Glen, that's entirely possible Once we get more used to the routine, I'm sure we can work stuff like that in there. Trina, I dunno if we can make it any less chatty. I feel like if it became more structured and scripted, it would kinda lose the fun, both for us and for the people listening. Hopefully people who don't know us too well won't be put off or anything.
ParadoxAndPlaid Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I think I might have mentioned this before when you guys first mentioned doing this,But I don't remember. I think it's be interesting to include a cover by a fan each week, or maybe a original song done by a local band that has GreenDay as an inspiration. You guys also talked about wherever you're recording being hot, I hope you fix that too, hate for you to suffer doing the show.
Dai. Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I think it's already in the plans, but having other people besides you two participating every week would be nice.
Princess Consuela Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 ^Yeah I'd love to hear from more people too. Maybe it could be someone who went to a recent show, met GD lately or something like that.
Mrs. Nobody Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I was equally thinking that getting other members on from to time, to hear their views on the subjects would be interesting (: or to review a recent green day show like ania says
ifmemoryserves Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Get rid of that Alex kid. What a moron, seriously. I agree. Also, be less awkward and try to make it a little less obvious that you're having butt secks.
gdpony Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 maybe some music in the background, to avoid all the background noises that can be heard, like the police sirens
Eirik Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 That would still be there, if there was music... That's picked up by their microphones, when they're talking.
Moffie Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Andres, get a fan so you can close your window. I think it'd be cool to have a section where maybe you could have debates about albums (AI vs 21 CB or AI vs Dookie or something like that) or an issue (AI Musical on Broadway: Excellent or Ridiculous?) or even songs (Take Back: Yay or Nay?) and you could have a few people be on teams and they have a set limit of time to explain themselves. That'd seem fun. Maybe you guys can do that during the downtime between US Tour and the tour starting back up in October. Oh and STATIC NOISE T-SHIRTS. The cover art looks amazing and looks like a killer t-shirt design and if there's no money issues or copyright infringments to worry about, make and sell them to support GDA. I would buy one in a flippin' heartbeat. Keep it up guys!
Tiffx Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Andres, get a fan so you can close your window. klytaemnestra Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 andres should get his air con fixed so he can close his window.
Dai. Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Games! You can invite two people and you can ask Green Day related questions and whoever answers first wins a million dollars!
captain peroxide Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Games! You can invite two people and you can ask Green Day related questions and whoever answers first wins a million dollars! I like this.
CaesarSalad Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 You should bring some Canadians onto the show. psssh. no offense, but everyone knows that canadians are really lame people, sharmy. Games! You can invite two people and you can ask Green Day related questions and whoever answers first wins a million dollars! HAHA. i like this idea! maybe not a million dollars, though. maybe one of andres' beloved roughed-up posters or something
gdpony Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Games! You can invite two people and you can ask Green Day related questions and whoever answers first wins a million dollars! I like this idea! maybe not a million dollars, but yeah, a poster or a sticker. it can be a small segment of the podcast, and you can have different guests every week
Trina Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Trina, I dunno if we can make it any less chatty. I feel like if it became more structured and scripted, it would kinda lose the fun, both for us and for the people listening. Hopefully people who don't know us too well won't be put off or anything. I get you! I personally wouldn't want it less chatty. I just wonder if non-forum members would or not. They probably wouldn't though! Games! You can invite two people and you can ask Green Day related questions and whoever answers first wins a million dollars! Yes! Games!
Joy of suburbia. Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Games! You can invite two people and you can ask Green Day related questions and whoever answers first wins a million dollars! Yeah!! Games would rock!! maybe not the million dollars but, like a cool Green Day prize or something like that.
Eirik Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Lol at how people genuinly commented the "million dollars" thing. But I do like that idea, of a Green Day quiz thing.
