How many tours/ World tours have Green Day done?

Ive always wondered, and i also need to know for a music assignment. So that just gives me a reson to try and find out.

Ohh and if anybody can sort of sum it up - Where the ensemble performs and the type of audience that they have. (Its not a easy question it just dont sound right when i try and put it in words) Thanks for any help i can get

i know they have been coming to australia since the nimrod tour so maybe 4 but they were doing american and england and all that since the dookie tour so about 6 than.

I think they've been to the Republic of Ireland 9 times, Marlay Park being their 10th show. The first time they came here was in December 1991.

Thats exactly what i was thinking. I should just put something in my assignment like, they tour when they have new stuff to show their fans or 'something' along those lines

Thats a hard question to answer because it depends on what you mean by how many tours??? Coz technically they have toured with every album so that makes 9 tours just some tours are bigger than others, with 1039 for example they toured the US and did a few shows in europe (i think) and the same with Kerplunk but when Dookie came out the tour got bigger but not "world wide" and as more albums came they started going to more countries.. A place like the UK would have been toured a lot more than south america or asia..

If you want to know how many shows they did for each tour you can check here I dont know how far back it goes but it might give you some information..

what? scandinavia? i know they were in denmark during the American idiot tour, and they were also here last year, so its not over 10 years ago...
