Jacob.
Part of Green Day article from Rolling Stone article with Robert Downey Jr. on cover: Armstrong also declares for Green Day's next album, "We'll definately end up doing something like a Rock-opera again. we're too good at it." And they are especially fond of one new song, written for their Alter ego Foxboro Hottubs, in tribute to the American Idiot cast. Before curtain call, Armstrong says, the singers and dancers gather in a huddle, hands on hands, and shout "Its Fuck time!". "So we wrote a song for them, 'Its fuck time'. " He grins. "We havent told them yet."

Jinjonator
God, I'd love a FBHT inspired Rock Opera. Idk, Stop Drop N Roll always struck me as having something of a story (albeit a very loose one). But It's Fuck Time being on the next Green Day album? Hmmmm. Not sure how you fit something like that in a rock opera, but they've yet to disappoint me, and It's Fuck Time is a great song XD. heartscollide
am i the only one who sees Stop Drop and Roll as a disjointed rock story? I definitely see it too. Mother Mary as the main character. I noticed it when they released the music video for Mother Mary which has a story to it.

It was almost exactly the same
mandajane
another rock opera?? i feel the same way lol i guess it just feel natural for them to write rock operas now...? idk but it would be my dream if they went back to their roots, but i dont see that happening anytime soon. if at all. ill end up loving the new shit anyways
heartscollide
The musical video for Mother Mary was based on the trailer for a film from the '60s, I think. It was almost exactly the same I haven't seen the trailer, but the story of that relates (I think) to the main story/idea of Stop, Drop and Roll. But at the same time the Tubbies probably unintentionally did that.
