Bexie. Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 Let's collect money and BUY THIS FUCKING CLUB!!!!!! I couldn't agree more.. But let's face it, the chances of us buying it are pretty slim Unless I win the lottery then i shall defo buy it
valentinesandcigs Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I was just about to make a thread for this. Ugh its so sad
Bubbles. Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Let's collect money and BUY THIS FUCKING CLUB!!!!!! THIS! I know for sure that I'd donate or do anything I could to help save it, and somehow I think that Green Day would too... Edit: I will donate as soon as I have the money.
Steven Samuels Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I got an idea...Green Day buys the venue, uses it as their own little getaway, and keep the place up. I'm pretty sure they (along with Warner) would love to have this. I'll probably donate....Can't get much out of me though.
valentinesandcigs Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I can see PHGP doing another show to raise some money.
Vaso.Of.Suburbia Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 oh the website doesn't open! i would do whatever i could, but i can't donate.... i don't own a credit card and if i even had, i am not an adult, so i'd need my parents' permission.... oh jes this is really important... someone should help!
captain peroxide Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Let's collect money and BUY THIS FUCKING CLUB!!!!!! I'm in flavor of this suggestion.
Smoothed Out Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Shit... not good not good I really don't want to see it shut!!
RobyRoom Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Guys, we already had a thread for this, Abbey opened it yesterday. Though, I reckon, the title is pretty misleading http://www.greendaycommunity.org/Forum/index.php?showtopic=78188
Ila Reto Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 hah i wouldnt donate money to keep it going, however i bet we could buy it for a pretty good amount so it can be run by the people who deserve to run such a historical landmark for greendayologists. we could turn it into a museum where we can keep all of our rare merch in glass boxes and people can come and admire them! and then we can all sign our names on the wall and have live bands playing to keep everyone entertained! c'mon everyone lets buy Gilman!!!

Abbey. Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I'm a badmin But I closed the other one, as this has got much more attention. Thats fine...I titled the other one that way simply because i thought it would get tossed out of the GREEN DAY section. Gilman is up against a difficult situation. they will probably be able to shoe-string it for the rest of the year and I have faith that the people involved with the club will find a way to keep it going. I donated some $ and I hope everyone else does too. I was lucky enough to go there this past Feb to see Pinhead and it is an amazing place. Abbeyand here is the link to the story on their blog: 924 gilman street there was also a discussion about it on the pop punk message bored if anyone trolls over there. abbey
