watsername182 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I was on a Coldplay messageboard and one of there French fans spotted a signed Coldplay guitar whilst waiting in line for the ride Rock 'N' Roller Coaster Avec Aerosmith also known as Rock 'N' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disneyland Paris. Anyways, they mentioned seeing a Green Day guitar but being a Coldplay fan, they didn't take a photo of Green Day's guitar. My question is, has anyone been on this ride and is there a Green Day guitar in the waiting area? Or does anyone know anything more about this? I'm kinda curious, I had never heard anything about this until today. Sorry if there is already an existing thread or if the mods feel this is pointless. I searched, promise.
jenni Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Yeap, it definately exists! One of my friends took a picture of it for me
Marlon_GD Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Jenni, you're totally right I went to Disneyland Paris just this Monday, and I took a picture of it (as you can see in the message above). I kinda freaked out when I saw it, because I did the ride several times, but in another waiting line, so I never came across this one.
watsername182 Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 I have a picture, let me upload it Clicky http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/4066/p1030233z.th.jpg Ooh, awesome! Thanks for the photo. Another reason why I should visit Paris sometime soon.
jenni Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I know... But fuck, I didn't want to do that roller coaster, so I didn't went with my friends... and later one of them told me: "hey! Look at this picture!" And I was like "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH jkqjdoiqjdksdfhjisdjfkjd "
Marlon_GD Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 The ride is also very thrilling. I enjoyed it very much. Getting launched away even faster than Space Mountain. The waiting line is half the joy of the total ride, you know. Lots of memorabilia is there (ACDC, U2, Radiohead, John Lennon, Coldplay, Aerosmith, among others...). And you even get to be "in the studio" with Aerosmith. It's a waiting room where you look into a studio through a large window, and behind the instruments you can see the control room (it's just a large screen) where Aerosmith is and they talk to you. Billie Joe's guitar is the only "real original" Gibson in that room though, all the others are Epiphones, I thought.
Li Sa Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 never have been to disneyland but woot woot another reason to go there
Micky Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 nawww I'v been to Disneyland Paris three times and I didn't now about this guitar whatever, thanks for sharing that pic
ems Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I went there and on that ride but didn't see the guitar Good ride though!
idc Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 wait ... now ... seriously?? i went there two years ago, and i can tell you, i am reeeaally into rollercoasters - but i didn't see thisone, not even heard of it. and i thought i tried all roallercoasters >_< and then i missed a singned guitar? dammit xD
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I've been to Disneyland, and in this ride too (it's awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes, the excessive use of exclamation marks is necessary). At the time I didn't know Green Day yet though (man, I was such a musical hermit at the time.), so I might have seen it but I don't remember it. And the line was very short (you could speedwalk all the way to the actual room where the rollercoaster starts, there you had to wait for only like 5-10 minutes, so I didn't really pay attention to anything ) Oh, and it's in Disney Studios, not the regular Disneyland, so if you wanna go to it you have to buy a ticket for Studios.
Holly Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 My brother went and when he got back he told me, but I thought he was lying. The little dick didn't take a picture for me, and I'm taking him to see them in Manchester! Dammit. But this is cool
Angela. Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 That's cool! I love how in the picture, BJ adds a bit of personality to his signature by adding Rage & Love.
Guest Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 It's a shame I was only four when I went to Dinseyland...
Smoothed Out Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I might be going there this year! Even though I don't like roller-coasters I'm going on this just to get a pic of this guitar :D Thanks for sharing
OMNatalie Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Yeah I was the 2 weeks ago and saw it way up high so it is quite easy to miss. As you go into the building, I think after the turnstall things its on the right, before you get into the inside queue line with all the posters and other bands memorabilia. Love the ride as well.
Armstump Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 One of my friends saw his guitar. n.n I went three times to Disneyland Paris but never seen his guitar before :[ Well okay, the first time I want to Disneyland "Disney Studio's" didn't even exist. (It's a new part of Disneyland). The second time we just rolled in to the rollercoaster without waiting in line so I didn't mention. And the last time we only could visted 1 of the 2 parks because we only went one day.
Heidi Holiday Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Did not realize that the Rock N Rollercoaster was also at the Disneyland Paris theme park. Pretty awesome, I love that ride.
idc Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Oh, and it's in Disney Studios, not the regular Disneyland, so if you wanna go to it you have to buy a ticket for Studios. thats why i didn't noticed the ride xD
