boosho Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I am pretty sure i saw a thread like this before but anyways.. If by edge of stage you mean corner i would rather be there..
ratdoescheese Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 This is exactly the question I've been pondering ever since I got tickets. I have NO idea what's better.
Sara Armstrong Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 End of catwalk, that way you can see the entire stage. That's what we did when I went.
Dylan. Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Threads like this just remind me of how poor I am. Fuck you empty wallet!
Steven Samuels Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Corner of the stage and the catwalk. Billie to my left, Mike to my right, and Tre dead ahead. Not big on Jason...
Dylan. Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Corner of the stage and the catwalk. Billie to my left, Mike to my right, and Tre dead ahead. Not big on Jason... You sig made me lose the fucking game.
lizziebix Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Corner of the stage and the catwalk. Billie to my left, Mike to my right, and Tre dead ahead. Not big on Jason... Agree.
farley drexel hatcher Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 At the barrier, in front of Mike. I could see the whole band perfectly. I wouldn't mind being at the end of the catwalk if I got the chance, though
AndrewW91 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I loved being at the end of the stage, right in front of Mr. Mike Dirnt. I think I'd rather be there, because Billie isn't always at the catwalk, but Mike is pretty much always there...right in front of you..
punxie89 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Where would you rather be? Hm I wouldn't say it's where I'd rather be, more where I aim to be and end up lol; at the end of the catwalk, in the middle of it, every show. I like to be in the middle, so that I get a good view of the entire stage equally. Actually, I'm like that in movie theaters too lol. It bugs me to be on one side and then have to crane my neck to see the other. And Billie Joe and Mike (and sometimes Tre) spend chunks of time right at the end of the catwalk, so its a pretty cool place to be for Green Day shows. Lots of shenanigans goes down (as you can see from the little vid in my sig. I filmed that from that spot. Well, I filmed the vid that that shot was taken from to make the avatar...man I'm thinking things through too much again LOL)
gehrc Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I'd think if you were front and center at the catwalk you'd be able to see EVERYTHING on stage, so I'd go with that. Maybe that depends on the venue, but I'd personally stick with that. I also think that Jason White is an amazing guitar player - don't get me wrong, Billie is still #1 in my book, but to me Jason seems to have less time to learn everything than the rest of the guys to, and you have to give him credit for memorizing all those solos that he does while BIllie is entertaining the crowd. AGAIN (and I don't wanna start a Jason arguement) Billie is still amazing, he writes the songs and does a lot of amazing stuff, but without Jason the concert experience would be much different.
finksgirl Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I've been at the corner of the stage and near the end of the catwalk. I say stage is better. You get to see the whole band the entire time instead of waiting for just Billie, Mike and Freese to get on the catwalk. But regardless of where you go it's a great spot =]
Supermodel*Robot Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I stood at the corner of the stage and it was amazing! Literally three feet from Billie the entire show! However, I do regret not paying too much attention to everyone else (it's hard too when he's that close! And I couldn't see a thing for Good Riddance. I can't decide if I'd go catwalk next time.
Hermione Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 At the barrier, in front of Mike. I could see the whole band perfectly. I wouldn't mind being at the end of the catwalk if I got the chance, though Ditto to this. I'd imagine the further along that barrier, towards the corner where the catwalk meets the stage, the better.
wilhelm-fink Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 ive been at both, at the end of the catwalk you have a wider view of the stage, but its way better near the stage at the barrier, your so close, its amazing!
alaniluau Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I like both. I usually try to aim for having a good view of Jason.
Valkin Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Corner of the stage and the catwalk. Billie to my left, Mike to my right, and Tre dead ahead. Not big on Jason... Pretty much this
