Interesting. I don't know what to think about this.

I don't even know what to say about this...

Cast Taylor Lou Pucci as JOS and Kelli Garner as Whatsername (just like in the JOS music video) and chances are... I'd love it.

I love Tom Hanks, he can do no wrong in my book so if anyone can do it justice, he can XD

That would be amazing.... all the more reason to be excited

I think I just need some time for the idea to grow on me.

tom hanks has proven himself as a director..... i just want someone to make this movie, i dont really care who, mainly because i may never get a chance to see the play

Does this mean we still get HLAHG?

Hmmm, very interesting. Hope to hear more about this. I think it's a good idea if done right, because it will give people who can't get to NYC to see the show a chance to 'see' it. And the world could use more Green Day. Something like this would really take them to a new level of amazing- how many bands can claim to have a musical and a movie based on their music? (All assuming this happens of course)

Probably. Isn't it coming out this year/early next year?

Thats what John said, but would they release two films in the same year?

Actually, when you put it that way(since I am dying to see this and there is no way in hell I'll ever see it) it's a great idea!

Okay I like this idea now.

Lol it(American musical film) would most definitely NOT be released this year.

Movies take a shitload of planning. And Tom Hanks is just 'talking' about it. Doesn't even mean it will ever happen.

I really like the idea

If anyone could do it, it would be Tom Hanks.
