Ila Reto Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 apparently youtube did some spring cleaning today.... did those accounts really get deleted by WMG too? i think those were two of the largest accounts (as far as the green day family goes) that was kept running for a while. they had green day's full catalogue, including every track, single, demo, and bootleg that has been out there. forgive me if i am wrong, but i just cant seem to find them on youtube anymore. sorry this is such a worthless thread. maybe we should take time to reminisce about the old account and all the valuable videos that we have lost. at least one is fighting back: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wb6GrEjgAWY
Katarina. Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Stupid Youtube. Maybe Warner is behind all this, but I'm not sure. Too bad the vids are gone.. I hope people will upload them again/ Youtube will change their rules about copyright.
Kayfabe Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 NO! I love Dookie Demo Haushinka #3 with all my heart
PleasedToMeetMe Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 NO! I love Dookie Demo Haushinka #3 with all my heart Me too. Ive always hoped Warner would release a special edition of Dookie with a second disc of demos.
PasalacquaBomb Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Damn YouTube. I really liked GreenDayBootlegs1989.
The Disappearing Boy Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 but then if they're gonna put singles and stuff up then i guess its gonna happen.....
XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Oh that sucks. GreenBootlegs1989 had some really cool stuff. I loved the Dookie demo tapes Stupid Youtube.
Ila Reto Posted March 22, 2010 Author Posted March 22, 2010 yea i dont understand why the demo tapes would affect warner in any way, because they were not intending to make money off of them in the first place. and the funny thing is, when GD signed over to Warner records, they made sure that Lookout kept the rights to 39/smooth and Kerplunk. ....not anymore.... so now even if someone puts up songs pre-dookie, WMG will take them down. yknow....green day didnt have to do that to poor little Lookout. just saying.
Kayfabe Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 ^ That's probably why the anti sellout-ists are so... anti sell out. The 'corporate guys' are meanies
Comedy & Tragedy Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 GreenDayLiveRecords were great! I found out a little while ago, and it sucks that they're gone. Also, there was a video from GreenDayBootlegs1989 I was waiting to watch. Now I can't Screw you warner. Screw you.

Green Day only left Lookout because they weren't paying the royalties on the albums. Even Larry Livermore has admitted they were justified in taking the back catalogue elsewhere. It might be Warner's 'right' to take the stuff off, but it's not very fan friendly and if they really wanted to make money off them, they should have released them.
Ila Reto Posted March 22, 2010 Author Posted March 22, 2010 Green Day only left Lookout because they weren't paying the royalties on the albums. Even Larry Livermore has admitted they were justified in taking the back catalogue elsewhere. no i understand that, i was saying that when they did cross over to Warner, they let Lookout keep the rights to the old albums, which i thought was very nice. Larry could say that, but i dont really see the justification of WMG coming out of nowhere in like 2005 and claiming them. it kind of defeated the purpose, and broke green day's orginal terms (so techinically, couldnt the contract be broken?)
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 wtf, I really liked GreenDayBootlegs1989, and there were still loads of things I wanted to watch from them but I thought Warner didn't own the audio of live concerts.... that's just plain weird.
Hermione Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 It just seems like stupidity on WMG's part. Videos of this kind aren't going to cost them anything. Quite the opposite, it's free promotion! All they're doing is alienating their artist's fans and making themselves look like a backwards-looking organisation. I wish they'd put half as much effort into bothering to promote Green Day's latest album and singles properly as they do doing crap like this.
Metanoia Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 i hate all this copyright shit.....its sucks so bad and because of this shit a lot of my videos got deleted and its just ridiculous !!!!
Liam Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 guys you do realize that all the stuff they put up was from here so you can download it from here but it still sucks that they duid that and GreenDayBootlegs1989 made some awesome covers It just seems like stupidity on WMG's part. GreenDayBootlegs2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Hello everyone. Well I uploaded that video I GreenDayBootlegs1989 page. I did the album cover and lower the entire concert in GDTorrent. But Warner Music I remove this video. So the decision, that does not happen with other videos, to eliminate the live concert Live At Fox Theatre, but YouTube I delete the account early and not reach to delete and here I am hahahahaha. But I will make another account and try to not upload videos that violate copyrights. It was good that Channel. He had already served a year of life , but equally we must understand that YouTube has rules and rights. But now I'm against that I have removed the canal, since the video was not originally recorded. Was recorded by an anonymous person. Well, that's the rule.http://www.youtube.com/user/GreenDayBootlegs2010 http://www.youtube.com/user/GreenDayBootlegs2010 http://www.youtube.com/user/GreenDayBootlegs2010 http://www.youtube.com/user/GreenDayBootlegs2010 http://www.youtube.com/user/GreenDayBootlegs2010 http://www.youtube.com/user/GreenDayBootlegs2010 I'm back!
