When did you first listen to Green Day and what song?

Mine was while playing Madden 05 ? I heard AMerican Idiot. I was a young boy back then. I didn't hear of them until an year later when I heard Wake me up when sepember ends.

I don't know... I know that I paid atention and I knew about their existence when I heard Wake me up When September Ends, but when I began to listen more songs I'm sure that I could recognize Basket Case and Good Riddance, I think. But before that song [Wake me up...] i started to listen to their music all the time and all those things :whistling:

11, october 04, and it was holiday at a friend's house. I did know that they had a song called american idiot, but on a local tv show, some kids have had done a video with barbies, and I never listened to the song because of it

There was a Kerplunk tape at the library and my brother took it out for me, I was 6 years old when I first started loving Green Day. I got heavily, heavily into them when i was about 8. But I've loved the band for about 12 years now.

I would have been about 9 or 10 or something.

In the game you can play as Billie Joe (He's a secret character) and he has a guitar trick and a trick called "stage dive".

It was about 5/6 years ago when I heard American Idiot...but I didnt like Green Day then....ever since i listened to BOBD, they have become my favourite band and their music is awesome!!

The very first Green Day song I heard was Basket Case, I can't really remember what year it was but it was probably mid 90's and I was like 8 years old. And it was all because of my older brother listening to Dookie. I'd never heard of Green Day before that but I loved that song.

But I started really getting into them my freshman year of HS...

I was 11, I'd just bought an Ipod, and my Uncle had lots of copied CDs that hie friend gave him, and American Idiot was on there. I played the album like mad, thinking I was "hardcore". Haha!

I think Basket Case was the first song i heard. I think it was on a compilation album and it was a pirate, so it wasn't even Green Day playing it! Around the same time my brother bought Dookie, and then i ended up listening to that constantly for about a year.
