Tre_Gina Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Just wondered if you have ever seen any Green Day tribute bands. I have seen two - Green Date and Green Daze, they were both pretty cool and have lots of energy but it is so difficult to replicate Billies voice.
Anja Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Does seeing Leigh playing Green Day songs with about 15 singers count?
ANJI Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 I've heard of Green Daze...but haven't really seen any...
Ally Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Seen Green Bay 8 times going again in a few weeks to seem, they are awesome
Nova-Caine Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Green Bay are a UK tribute act and you can find them here, IMO they are the best and I've seen a few http://www.myspace.com/greendaytributeband
valentinesandcigs Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 i actually tried to start a Green day tribute band once but imitating the energy and voice that billie has was way to hard for me Green bay sounds really cool!
peepee Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Isn't it a waste of time to start a tribute band? I bet they love it, but as a musician it most be worhtless to live in the shaddow of what others have created. If you can sing and play the guitar why not try to be original?

Tre_Gina Posted January 10, 2010 Author Posted January 10, 2010 I think I need to look out for Green Bay. The trouble is in Norwich they don't get very big crowds which doesn't make a great atmosphere but I still enjoying seeing tribute bands now and again.x

Mellyboots Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 This reminds me of a time a couple of years ago. I was on ticketmaster and I saw that Green Dayz were playing. I got reeeeally excited, but then I saw the Z...
Kryssi. Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 The closest I've come to a tribute act is see Leigh play. I haven't seen him in Green Bay as a whole, which is upsetting.
downontelegraph Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 this tribute band is probably the best i've heardhttp://www.myspace.com/americanidiotschicago
g l o r i a Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I have seen a tribute band called Dookie, they're real good, play a lot of old Green Day :]
Nova-Caine Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 The closest I've come to a tribute act is see Leigh play. I haven't seen him in Green Bay as a whole, which is upsetting.Well I could speak to him and see if we can get a Rocktober Reunion gig booked in for June You should see them, they are great fun, fantastic musicians and worth it. Yeah I know I am biased cos I adore Leigh, he's a good friend, but I'd still tell people to go even if he wasn't my friend, they are brilliant live x
Princess Consuela Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Green Day country anyone? Anja sent me their stuff and I was surprised they are actually pretty good and funny. The songs sound so different. Here's When I Come Aroundhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPbhoMEwpDA...feature=relatedThere's also BOBD and AI on YouTube and they suck. So if someone is interested I can upload songs I have.
