Just thought I'd put this out there. My local rock station does countdowns occasionally. This one was the top 200 songs of the decade and Green Day made the list 6 times. Full list here:

8. American Idiot

22. Holiday

39. Boulevard of Broken Dreams

80. Wake Me Up When September Ends

True. Is is just me, or are they bigger in like Europe right now?

Nah not here they're not, well not in the UK anyway. You barely hear of Green Day in this country, the marketing for this album's been almost non-existent. They've made quite a lot of TV appearances and stuff in the US though, plus rock music in general is always more popular in the US than it is over here. I reckon Green Day are still bigger in the US than Europe.

Hmm this list kind of makes me sad again that East Jesus Nowhere slipped under the radar instead of taking the world by storm because of the crappy way it was put out as a single. But otherwise that's a pretty impressive amount of songs in there, very good

102.1 The Edge is a Canadian station, and it was an alright popular while it was new, it reached 13 I think on the top 30. The thing is, it was online voting and only 21 Guns and Know Your Enemy off 21st Century Breakdown were on the list. However, you could've nominated a song (which I did, East Jesus Nowhere) but I don't it got too many nominations. I was gonna post a link to GDC when the voting was on, but I was too busy. Other nominations were Jesus of Suburbia (which I'm surprised didn't make it) and She's a Rebel LOL

Cool! I agree it would have been nice to see something off the new album in there, but it's still awesome they made the list so many times :)

6 times? that's like 3% :o

that's great, considering Green Day didn't make the top 2000 of the decade over here.

That's awesome they made the list six times, they're usually on the countdowns here too.

Green Day are still big in the States! They're the number one artist at rock radio, and they've been performing everywhere!

I think they've cemented themselves as one of the biggest bands in the world!

Woo we hit the top ten. cool stuff

This list is a total joke. The Pretender is the Foo Fighters worst song, and Beverly Hills was the sign of Weezers fall.
