I don't think anyone's posted this article yet. D’Ambrosio is a writer who praised Johnny Cash and Joe Strummer for their commitment to political issues in their music. When asked in an interview if there are artists today who are carrying on the tradition of Strummer and Cash, he said:

“There are scores of artists that say something, but they’re just not at level where they’re affecting the wider culture the way that Johnny Cash or Joe Strummer did. Green Day is at that level, and American Idiot is a powerful statement. I would say certainly Green Day is there, but they’re an exception.”

The GD part is really small, in the middle somewhere but I love seeing Green Day get credit for being in a class of their own. I don't think they get enough credit for creativity from the press sometimes especially when we all know they put so much into their music.

Green Day deserve this kind of praise, they're amazing! I love their ability to make me think and bounce off the walls at the same time!

Ha me too. It's great to see them getting well deserved and well written praise from a respected source, what can I say I totally agree with him!
