The GDC Wallpaper Calendar 2010-Working Stage

1/Every designer must only do a wallpaper with a grid (even like jaymee did)

2/The grid should start from Sunday and these dates must be highlighted

The member's birthdays (inc. Jason, Jason and Ronney)

Album anniverseries

Any standard feasts on a US calender

these should be done by highlighting the date and then writng it as a footnote (Example: 9th-Happy birthday Tre)

4/Anyone who still wishes to take part should send a PM to me. We need subs in case someone pulls out)

5/Each wallpaper must be made for two basic resolutions ( Regular: 1280x1024

Widescreen: 1920x1200 )

6/Before doing the actual graphic we should deside on particular people who should appear in the calendar and on certain events

7/Please try to keep things in the wallpaper recent

ive actually made a mistake with one of the dates. i put mike is turning 28 not 38 so that has to be fixed up and you could add september 10 - 28 years since Andy Armstrong died

Haha, yeah, I try to make it a little different, because the other way looks like somebody noticed a mistake on the wallpaper and edited it with paint. Sorry to people who made it that way, it's just my opinion.

And I've got a really, really dumb question, how have you people done the grid? Because everytime I do it some numbers are too much on the right, stuff like that.

I normally do a row of numbers on one layer, another on another etc, and i resize and move certain ones around to make it all fit

Woah I love it! I don't really have any sugegstions, just that I'm still not happy with the footnote solution.
